Great limerick!
You left out that the plug is on the bottom edge of the transom at the back of the boat, at the lowest point when the boat is on the trailer so you can drain out any water. What would anyone be doing back there that would dislodge the plug? There is a lever to open the plug and relieve the tension on it and it then needs to be pulled straight out. It isn't just a cork. How does someone accidentally kick out such a plug?
Most likely, they forgot to put the lever down and the plug, lacking tension, did just fall out.
None of these people have ever operated a simple bass boat, have they? They leave it to someone else to launch it, retrieve it, secure it on the trailer, probably drive it to and from the private ramp. Come to think of it, they have never even watched someone retrieve and trailer their boat, either.

This jerk was all over the TV yesterday spouting demonRat talking points about everything from the flood to Iraq. At one point he referred to our troops in Iraq as a "mercenary army" which I found to be extremely offensive. If this Ahole had any credibility, it's gone now.
