Just heard this on Chrissy Matthews show about the "Buses"

He had columnist Eugene Robinson from the Washington Post on and Robinson said "these poor blacks had no way of getting out since the bus service stopped on Saturday Night" Is this their newest line of defense?

That would contradicts the evac plan we've all seen. The obvious follow-up question is "okay, so WHY did the bus service stop, and aren't we simply talking about the normal city bus routes when we say that? What about using them for evacuation?"

Give him a quarter.. Greyhound and Amtrak, IIRC, ended service to New Orleans on Saturday night. Metropolitian bus services ended service Saturday night as well and only re-started the next morning to pick up pre-registered people for the refuge at the Superdome, and then at noon - 6pm picked up others for trips to the dome as well.
Now, as to those hundreds of buses scattered across the state and now underwater... Those went no where.

On my local NBC this RAT reporter was saying why FEMA didn't use the buses and then they showed the picture of the flooded buses
