Air America has had the wind pulled from it's sails in Charleston, SC. Air America took over the AM 730 dial when Clear Channel moved its conservative line-up over to FM. Now they have changed the format on 730 AM to "The Music of You Life" featuring artists like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Nat King Cole.
Air America...yet again has failed trying to gain as many listeners as Howard Dean gains shrinks!
Bu-Bye! It's not looking good for the AirAmerica PoorKidsMoney-for-Airtime program.
Boo-hoo. Poor babies.
Who wouldn't trade Al Frankenstein for Frank Sinatra?
Randi's a real piece of work. My guess is that she can't handle reality in her own little make-believe world.
I just happened to tune her in during the Rice confirmation hearings. Some arrogant Dem senator is trying to jam words
into Rice's mouth as the answer to a question he asked, and Rhode's is complaining that Rice won't answer the question.
Yeah, like anybody can get a word in edge-wise when a microphone (or two) separates a Dem senator from
anybody else.
its' still much better than Err Amerika. :D
My local station does Music of Your Life. They do old-time radio drama and comedy on Sat. and Sun. nights, too. Takes me back to my kidhood.
Hopefully that will happen at WCKY (wacky) radio in Cincinnati soon. 24 hour Art Bell/Coast to Coast reruns would get higher ratings.
Even algore refused to get involved in this train wreck.
I used to listen to AM 1430 myself.I was heartbroken to hear that that Maoist claptrap had found its way there.
Say Bye, schmuck!
That's just too damn bad.
I hadn't heard that. Do you have any details? That's pretty low but wouldn't surprise me in the least with that gang.
Rather thinks that Kenneth knows the frequency...as Danny Boy...
A couple weeks back, listeners to the _other_ AAR station in Boston, WKOX 1200 (Framingham) heard Spanish-language religious stuff--the format 'KOX had BEFORE the format switch last October--on a Fri afternoon at 3 pm, instead of Ed Schulz. Boston's radio-info.com board was buzzing: FORMAT CHANGE! AAR DUMPED! Not surprising, as they were getting a
0.2 rating (two tenths of one per cent of listeners were
tuned to them).
It was not to be. An error accidentally sent programming
intended for _another_ station to AM 1200. So both are
still AAR, but for how long? the ratings stink!
When WXKS 1430 dumped standards they dropped like a stone in the ratings. And what a surprise, a station out of Cambridge (WJIB AM 740) which had similar music, suddenly zoomed in the ratings. Big bands and "the music of your life" work
in Boston. Liberal talk radio doesn't!!
