President Bush had a very busy day today, meeting with Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings and First Lady Laura Bush, to discuss the educational needs of children displaced by Hurricane Katrina and how states might be able to absorb the cost of the large numbers of new students. He also met with the Cabinet to discuss the recovery efforts following the hurricane, and reuniting family members with each other, healthcare provision and finances.
At noon, the President met with representatives from national voluntary organizations to discuss how best to help the Americans who are evacuees from the hurricane. He pledged a full investigation into the response to the hurricane.
The President and First Lady also paid their respects to the late Chief Justice of the United States, William Rehnquist, spending a few moments bowing their heads at his casket.
Continue to pray for the President and the people in the ravaged Gulf Coast region, and enjoy this island of refuge from the blind attacks against our GOOD President on the Daily Dose!
These two are SO real!
thanks Deb.. profound from you as we have come to expect!
Me, too. I trust the Salvation Army.
I have to admit that in honor of Bubba, the wonder dog, I also gave to Noah's Ark (the animal rescue group that rescues pets after disasters)
GOD Bless the PRESIDENT .....thanks for the Pictures, Ohio.....after hearing the bleepin' idiots who call themselves "journalists" continual MIS-reporting....this is a VERY NICE PLACE TO COME TO!
THanks, I saw it but haven't read it yet. I didn't agree with everything Ed Koch did when he was NYC mayor, but I sure miss him being in the news. He is a hoot! And I loved the fact that he endorsed President Bush.
It's really important in times like this when our President is under incessant attack from liars, to band together, and voice our appreciation for what we've been given in this man.
The Veep knows how to get things done.
After all, he ran Halliburton.
We have one "Ladybug Red" wall in OUR kitchen....and one in my office.....such trend setters we are!!! Ha!
I second that Ohio Good night all see you all tomorrow, God Bless you all and your President and his family. God Bless and comfort America and the many suffering people
Now we have this little Bow Tie wearing spineless worm Tucker Carlson who couldn't find out where he stood with a flash light and a map. He has David Shuster on now whining about the trash in the streets now, What does this Arsehole think happens after a Cat4 Storm passes through. Good God, They are complaining about the clean up before the friggin water is even out of the FLOODED CITY.
This is UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE
Oh , wow. Looks like the week has taken its toll on Laura. Poor thing.
He thinks quickly, makes good decisions, and makes sure they're acted upon.
The media wants Bill Clinton's impotent phoniness, and instead they get George W. Bush's virile genuineness, problem solving and RESULTS.
The majority of Americans see that in him. The leftist media and politicians never will.
thanx for the heads up on Fox and Charles K.
I'll have to tape it. (on the re-run)
Another one- her pain is so obvious.
You are so right to wait until you have time to give the Border Collie exercise.
My son got one and did not have the time and the dog was very frustrated. Did you know a Border Collie can tear out a wood door?
I've had several broken toes. With the first one, I went to the ER. What a waste of money. All they did was tape the broken one to the next one as a sort of splint. After that, I just taped two together myself. It works.
LOL! Landrieu is a weak woman.
I believe Susan Collins' voice hurts my teeth even more than Susan Estriche's ...
No offense to all you Susans out there.
