U.S. commercial air carriers continue transporting tens of thousands of evacuees from the New Orleans airport to destinations throughout the nation.

Rooftop air rescue efforts continue. One rescue chopper crashed late today. Crew members are reported safe. Gunmen who fired upon bridge repair contractors were killed by law enforcement.

To date, an estimated 70 countries and U.S. businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars, supplies, food and equipment to assist the United States' efforts in Katrina's aftermath. Lt. General Honore described the damage to Mississippi today, "all infrastructure south of Jackson, MS is either damaged or destroyed." Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice visited the devastated areas, and attended Sunday church services in Mobile, Alabama.

Elsewhere, Sean Penn's rescue boat, sans plug and full of his personal entourage, reportedly sank during launch in New Orleans. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) threatened to punch President Bush, and Jefferson Parish President Broussard decried that the bureaucracy of FEMA has committed murder.

Streaming Video:

All information is subject to change. Many stations are relying on their corporate parents to configure and maintain Internet streaming. Because of the intense interest in the feeds, they may be unavailable at times because of network congestion or a problem feeding the video to the streaming servers.

WWL-TV New Orleans - WWL-TV is operating from studios at Louisiana Public Broadcasting. CBS has a relay during the morning and afternoon. When available, use the CBS relay first as they have greater streaming capacity. They have a secondary stream from Yahoo. WWL-TV is also offering a special low-bandwidth audio-only stream for dial-up users.

WDSU-TV New Orleans - The news staff has started to return to temporary news studios near New Orleans. However, expect evening coverage from Hearst-Argyle sister stations WAPT Jackson and WESH Orlando when the New Orleans staff needs to take a break.

WGNO-TV New Orleans - New Orleans' ABC affiliate has returned to the air with WBRZ-TV and launched video streaming with continuous Katrina coverage.

WPMI-TV Mobile, AL - WPMI is webcasting from 5:30am - 10:30pm CDT. When off air, you can view pre-recorded reports on demand. This feed is often unreliable.

WKRG-TV Mobile, AL - This station is providing good coverage of the situation to the east in Mississippi and Alabama. However, the station is now signing off at around 10:30pm CDT like WWL and WPMI.

WJTV-TV Jackson, MS - The CBS affiliate in Jackson is providing live coverage for both the Jackson area and south Mississippi (knowing a lot of media in that area is off the air).

WFAA-TV Dallas, TX - WFAA-TV is here because Dallas is one of the evacuation cities.

United Radio From New Orleans: WWL-AM, WNOE-FM, "KISS-FM," WRNO-FM, WYLD-FM, and WJBO-AM (Clear Channel & Entercom) who have joined forces as United Radio From New Orleans, and they are streaming.

Gulf Coast Storm Network (Clear Channel Radio) - Clear Channel offers radio listeners across the gulf coast access to a simulcast emergency radio service. This service seems primarily focused on Alabama and Mississippi, but does cover Louisiana to some degree.

Hannity sticking it to Vitters now - telling him he has been in public office in LA for 7 years, what has he done to increase preparedness.

this is good stuff.

David Vitter on Fox News says that the State government and Fema failed miserably. He gave both an F. Sean Hannity asked him if he gave everyone else an F what do you give yourself?

"BTW, Hillary looks AWFUL. Simply AWFUL."

I have sworn off CNN and other MSM, not to mention I do avoid any coverage about the Clintons, but I would agree with you totally. Hillary looks terrible in the photos. She has really aged, and not well, since I last looked at any image of her. She looked haggard. I was shocked.

LOL---good descriptions of both NO and Houston...

I haven't been to Utah, but I grew up in Boulder Colorado..we would have rain every afternoon about 5:00 for about 30 minutes...and then over and starry skies...

We never had to water out lawns...but it was never humid...

SEAN JUST NAILED VITTER!!!!!

Said he had been serving for years, did he give himself an F??? Vitter said plenty of blame to go around...bUT STILL DIDN'T take it for himself! Nailed him with the info on Drudge from the paper! Vitter said should focus on efforts to rescue and rebuild, not blame, Sean points out Vitter was the one giving Fema and G.W.B an F.! Tired of FEMA na d Bush getting all the blame. Sean you were amazing, thank you!!!

"I don't blame the Mayor of NO at all, not for anything." and then he went on to say that the Governor couldn't get what she needed from Fema or somesuch..

THAT is where he loses a leg to stand on

The feds DON'T control Cities and States .. they only help them

If the City and State didn't fail so badly .. many of the problems we are seeing today may not have occurred

Reporting in from Central Mississippi. I spent all day sawing up a 45-foot tree that was uprooted in the storm. I got it chopped up into 6-foot lengths and the leafy parts are in the compost heap.

The gas station closest to my house was selling gas by appointment only today. I called at 10:00 and made an appointment for 2:30. They called at 1:45 and asked if I could postpone until 4:30. I arrived at 4:25, and didn't have to wait in line more than 1 minute. Just pulled into a vacant pump, went inside and paid my $40 cash (the limit), then pumped the gas ($2.59.9 per gallon) and came back home. I'm going to carpool to work with someone else this week, so I know I've got enough gas now to go to work every day for the next 3 weeks, plus a trip or two to the grocery.

I'm still trying to locate a lot of missing persons, but no success, yet.

There are a few links we can send reporters, at least friendly reporters, to make sure they know the facts.

Too many of them do no research. None.

But also, the administration has GOT to take some responsibility for their own bad press. I know exactly how bad the media is and detest them.

But the WH needs to have better PR campaigns - press releases, press conferences, better spokesman than Scott McClellan, etc.

"I believe General Honore would say something along the lines Clint Eastwood used:

Just a big cluster F--k or SNAFU (Situation Normal All F--ked Up)."

More like Nagin'd up. Or maybe Blanco'd up. Used in context:

Bob: I was going to fix the furnace but I burned the house down.

Jim: You Nagin'd that up something awful.

-" Hanalei Gourmet owner Tim Kerlin says the former president picked up a deli sandwich, while the women in the party enjoyed a restaurant appetizer specialty: deep-fried crispy artichoke hearts."

" The former president was seen hiking on Na Pali Coast-Kalalau Trail on Monday, and playing golf at Princeville, all the while with U.S. Secret Service agents at the ready."

" A North Shore resident said she spotted Sen. Clinton and daughter Chelsea dining at The Hanalei Gourmet, and otherwise enjoying the Princeville area ."
