Contraflow wasn't implemented until 4 pm saturday afternoon, about 38 hours before landfall. Entirely too late, imo.

I have a feeling that someone will replay that presser a FEW times...it was priceless.
In fact, you might check out C-span...I didn't see if they carried it LIVE...but they might have..and they replay pressers all of the time.

For those of you who missed it and want to know, Honoree was asked to comment on a report from Jindal that helo pilots were being held back from rescuing people do to beaurocratic red tape. Honoree went ballistic.It was so good. I hope Fox plays it again.

Actually, contraflow wasn't implemented on ALL designated roads, and WWL-TV reported during the event that contraflow was turned on, then off, then back on again, then off....
In other words, contraflow was never implemented properly or effectively.
