U.S. commercial air carriers continue transporting tens of thousands of evacuees from the New Orleans airport to destinations throughout the nation.

Rooftop air rescue efforts continue. One rescue chopper crashed late today. Crew members are reported safe. Gunmen who fired upon bridge repair contractors were killed by law enforcement.

To date, an estimated 70 countries and U.S. businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars, supplies, food and equipment to assist the United States' efforts in Katrina's aftermath. Lt. General Honore described the damage to Mississippi today, "all infrastructure south of Jackson, MS is either damaged or destroyed." Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice visited the devastated areas, and attended Sunday church services in Mobile, Alabama.

Elsewhere, Sean Penn's rescue boat, sans plug and full of his personal entourage, reportedly sank during launch in New Orleans. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) threatened to punch President Bush, and Jefferson Parish President Broussard decried that the bureaucracy of FEMA has committed murder.

Streaming Video:

All information is subject to change. Many stations are relying on their corporate parents to configure and maintain Internet streaming. Because of the intense interest in the feeds, they may be unavailable at times because of network congestion or a problem feeding the video to the streaming servers.

WWL-TV New Orleans - WWL-TV is operating from studios at Louisiana Public Broadcasting. CBS has a relay during the morning and afternoon. When available, use the CBS relay first as they have greater streaming capacity. They have a secondary stream from Yahoo. WWL-TV is also offering a special low-bandwidth audio-only stream for dial-up users.

WDSU-TV New Orleans - The news staff has started to return to temporary news studios near New Orleans. However, expect evening coverage from Hearst-Argyle sister stations WAPT Jackson and WESH Orlando when the New Orleans staff needs to take a break.

WGNO-TV New Orleans - New Orleans' ABC affiliate has returned to the air with WBRZ-TV and launched video streaming with continuous Katrina coverage.

WPMI-TV Mobile, AL - WPMI is webcasting from 5:30am - 10:30pm CDT. When off air, you can view pre-recorded reports on demand. This feed is often unreliable.

WKRG-TV Mobile, AL - This station is providing good coverage of the situation to the east in Mississippi and Alabama. However, the station is now signing off at around 10:30pm CDT like WWL and WPMI.

WJTV-TV Jackson, MS - The CBS affiliate in Jackson is providing live coverage for both the Jackson area and south Mississippi (knowing a lot of media in that area is off the air).

WFAA-TV Dallas, TX - WFAA-TV is here because Dallas is one of the evacuation cities.

United Radio From New Orleans: WWL-AM, WNOE-FM, "KISS-FM," WRNO-FM, WYLD-FM, and WJBO-AM (Clear Channel & Entercom) who have joined forces as United Radio From New Orleans, and they are streaming.

Gulf Coast Storm Network (Clear Channel Radio) - Clear Channel offers radio listeners across the gulf coast access to a simulcast emergency radio service. This service seems primarily focused on Alabama and Mississippi, but does cover Louisiana to some degree.

No way. The rats are screwn on this deal. They fouled it up big tihng, maing. What they're doing is trying the old best defense is a good offense technique. Won't work. They're squawking, nobody's listening except their faithful. That's why they're losing elections, and they may well have just lost Louisiana.

Just heard from another Freeper that 1000 of the 1500 police force didn't report for duty.

And yet Blanco waited until Wednesday to call in the NG......Her inaction certainly contributed to the loss of life & chaos in the streets & at the Superdome.

Thank you for trying to hash this out. I'm sure we'll hear exactly this argument in the coming days, and by having looked at it here first it helps me to bat down the nonsense spewed by my circle of lib acquaintances

He's an engineering director for a company that makes touch pads for the Apple Ipod and laptop computers.

He tried to get out of the area when his old company shut down their California office. He couldn't find anything that was comparable. I was looking in want ads all over the country. We contacted friends that live in other parts of the country. Nothing.

He got 5 job offers in the Bay Area.

That is a good letter.

I believe the liberals and Democrat Party made a huge mistake letting the race baiter's take the lead in this disaster.

Jackson, Sharpton, Congressional Black Congress,NAACP,smug elitists race baiting enablers such as CNN and PMSNBC showed just how selfish they are.

These immoral radicals are using the suffering of Americas poor to advance their own politically motivated personal agendas.

I believe that most Americans with common sense will not be fooled by these despicable hypocritical cowards.

I can imagine what noise there would be if the Pres had told the governor to kiss his sweet grits and rolled in and took over without her permission.

Yep, we'd be hearing impeachment screams about that too.

Good point. The race baiting is going to alienate the vast majority of Americans and as usual the idiotic Left has overreached and they have screwed themselves again.

Mary Landrieu will say its just another photo op. Do you see those people smiling? They are so happy to see the President express his personal concern for them!! Nice pics, I hope FNC shows it more.

WFAA: Two of the Gulf Coast refineries that shut down are now back online in some capacity. Four more likely to be shut down for weeks.

I volunteered today at one of the shelters here in San Antonio. It was -- to say the least -- a major charlie foxtrot.

No leadership -- until a group of us with backgrounds as military officers and civilian executives took over and got things moving. There was little in the way of organization. The Red Cross staff - try as they may - were failing in their mission to coordinate things.

Things were much better by the time our shift ended. We had the shelter humming.

There is a massive volume of donated supplies, clothing and food. So much so, in fact, that at the shelter where I was, there's no longer space to put it all.

What's needed now is money and time.

Persons in this area are needed to work the shelters -- and cash is needed to buy medication.

I have a sneaky suspicion that today's activities for POTUS will include visiting some of the Texas shelters.

His Air National Guard training serves him well - he's doing exactly what a good commanding officer (or leader) should.

"Deep down the majority of Americans think that most of the blame belong to the residents of New Orleans who stupidly stayed despite all the warnings to have mandatory evacuation."

Great post. I think you are exactly right.

The gov said that they'd deal with the problem of the police later.

I found it disgusting that the mayor seemed to disappear for the duration, only to show up "as mayor" now that the mess is under control.

indeed, those are the two main points we have going for us in the political battle - americans saw the scenes of looting and mayhem, and few are going to buy the racism angle on this.
