Five people killed by New Orleans Police

Last Updated Sun, 04 Sep 2005 18:59:47 EDT

CBC News

New Orleans police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a group of contractors travelling across a bridge on their way to make repairs.

Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley said police shot at eight people, killing five or six.

John Hall of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said fourteen contractors were travelling across a bridge that spans a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River, under police escort, when they came under fire. The contractors were on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain to plug a breech in the canal.

None of the contractors were killed.

These are the facts the libs will leave out. You should read the comments over on the DU. They make it look like the NOLA brown-shirts are executing innocent civilians. They will try and turn it into a NOLA "Night of the Long Knives".

Sickening, just sickening.

What!?!?!?!

Do we have confirmation?

If it was shot down, the perp needs two taps to the head with a .50 cal. BMG.

Both pilots are okay, according to MSNBC.

Yeah, my thought also. So the second tap would be wasted ammo.

Sorry, I didn't answer, someone posted a story about it just a second after I posted here and I went over to that thread. It's on the front page.

A couple of days ago I told my husband the cops and/or NG would end up having to take out some of these criminals who were not going to give up the pirate's life easily.
