RE: LOL

LOL? If I am correct that means laughing out loud, a kind of smirk.

Are you disparaging the likes of theoretical physicist Michio Kaku or Jayna Davis, reporter?

This dumb ol' hillbilly still likes listening to radio, I don't have none of them new-fangled TV things.

Buses? What good are buses without union employees to drive them? Gotta wait for the dues and initiation fees' check to clear before you can start work son.

Freedom, that has nothing to do with the clueless claim I'm talking about, which was that the city buses were picking people up all over town and evacuating them OUT of the city beforehand. It was total BS.

Skinny pedal on the right makes it go, gear shifters in the same place assuming it's not an automatic, and brake pedal is to the left of the gas pedal. Keep her between the lines and you're alright. The rest of that CDL stuff is all about not parking on RR tracks and other stuff that is not important in an emergency.

In terms of the number of the diseased bigots, they simply used this hurricane as an excuse launch their typical venomous attacks.

There will always be a group of individuals who try to use incidents like the looting in N.O. to insinuate that ALL blacks will participate in looting.

They are no different than the folks who think that all Arabs are terrorists, all gays are child molesters, and so on.

I do think it is a legitimate observation that whenever looting occurs, more often than not the majority who participate are black. I don't think that is a racist statement, any more than the observation that most pedophiles and serial killers are white men, or that most terrorists are Muslim. Those are strictly observations, and when a white person makes observations regarding another race, they are immediately labeled a racist.

Have you ever seen mass looting occur when the majority of the looters were white? I haven't. I do think there is a mind set among some racist blacks, who are generally poor, who think it is okay to stick it to society, they are entitled to "stuff", and that white people deserve some payback.

But they are no different than racists of any other type.

Maybe the honorable mayor does not know how to read. It's Bush's fault....No Mayor Left Behind should have been adapted.

According to Glen Beck, he was turned away at the Astrodome because he was not "registered" to arrive. Is this true?

I read that a New Orleans cop told him to take the bus, fill it with people and get out of town. I want to know where he bought the diesel fuel for a 13-hour drive to Houston and who paid for it. I guess they passed the hat inside that bus and bought diesel at a truck stop.

No, that's not true. There was a delay in processing but they got in the Dome. Greta had this guy on her show live from the Astrodome parking lot that same evening.

According to the interview with Greta on the night he arrived, that is exactly what they did.

Yes, I guess I did miss the nuance.

My main thought in replying was to get a couple of names out there for those who may read this thread and have never heard the show. It's not all little green men, ghosts, and secret societies.

Though both Bell and Norry are (relatively) conservative and vets they both have big problems with President Bush and the battles in Iraq. Norry goes nuts over Halliburton. Even the NY Times asked, who else could do the job?
