I like your idea, SF.

"NO, we can't do that! That would make them an endangered species really quick! Ten per day, maximum take of 20 per month. That way our kids will still be able to hunt them.
Hmmmm. Maybe you're right. Some problems shouldn't be left for later generations to deal with."

LOL

Yeah, it'd be nice to leave some corrupt politicos around for our children to hunt, but I'm afraid they would multiply in ways we couldn't keep track of (12 children with 7 women for example). Unfortunately this 'species' won't realize extinction without a lot of help. IMHO

The points you made are well taken. I would rather focus on someone who was let down by his own Mayor, State & Federal. Although this young man had never driven a school bus saved the lives of some 60 hurricane victims.

Even though the focus of this thread is Jabbar Gibson someone who saved lives, Some low life posted this: "Too busy exchanging 'yo da man' high fives and passing the crack pipe around?" deliberately ignoring the good young Gibson accomplished.

I think the person who wrote the quote you mentioned was talking about Nagin, not the kid who drove the bus.

I certainly hope that young man gets everything he deserves; medals, a great job, and all the accolades that go along with being a hero.

Because that is what he is.

You are correct. Young Gibson should be offered a great job & a fund for his continuing education, coupled with being honoured by his Mayor and other city officials for his initiative for saving lives, something they could have done by releasing the many buses which simply remained parked at various locations, all flooded, useless to Katrina's victims.

I just pray after Jabbar Gibson rescued so many, he himself did not lose anyone in his greater family.

I agree, but with his brains I'd bet he is in college, if not we should remedy that.

Cheers,

I haven't read the whole thread, but I did read an article earlier about Jabbar, and he was arrested! Can you believe that?
