The news crawl on CNN last night (Saturday) reported that Blanco had just declared a medical emergency in New Orleans. People have been wading neck-deep in sewage for a week and she just declared that a medical emergency exists in New Orleans! Bush's people should be laying out the incompetence of Blanco and Nagin.

Nagin's background to be mayor--he's a former cable-tv "executive" with no political experience.

These people are totally incompetent and Mary Landrieu should shut up about President Bush.

"She invoked authority granted her as governor under LA law. What she is refusing to do is invoke Federal law that passes authority to FEMA to coordinate crisis response."

Now I understand why nothing happened in New Orleans for days and days. The State Government (such as it is) was trying to run the show. Remember this when someone complains about Bush.

Louisiana Gubernatorial Recall Petition signature requirements: 33.3% of eligible voters for office at time of last election.

Petition circulation time: 180 days.

Results of successful Recall: Recall Election would be followed by separate Special Election for a successor.

The woman is a complete idiot.

The woman has to go - it's recall time.

Remember, we got rid of Gray Davis in California now, I think, it's Blanco's turn.

Does someone, anyone...have a list of the MSM email addresses? I think every time a "true" story comes to light, we should all "fire off a letter".....

Need to hold their feet to the fire, and stop this BS.

Thanks.

I'm not laying blame, but the public sure is.

Exactly 180 degrees from what you are implying. Better check your sources, President Bush is not receiving the brunt of blame, it's rightfully being blamed on state and local tsars.

A horrible horrible disaster.....which shouldn't be politicized, for any reason.

Please enlighten all of us, how you would move 100-150,000 people out of a flooded area like that. People who didn't want to go, thugs who were shooting at rescue copters and doing everything they could to stop the rescues.

Then post your sad picture and pretend to care about what really happened there. A total failure by the local and state government.

Give Howard and Al my regards. Hopefully their jobs at CNN will come in real soon.

Isn't it odd that Hillary is a no show during this time? Have I missed it, or is she conveniently AWOL yet again?

I have no idea who was politicizing this disaster. I replied to “one more state “ posted article which claimed that Gov Kathleen Blanco had failed to declare a state of emergency. The comment in italics is the normal method of quoting the comment of the original poster.

At least 95% or more of the posters disagreed with her and I suppose were politicizing the disaster in your mind too. Bodies laying in flooded streets seems to suggest the a State of Emergency should exist.

The rest of your comments seem to be want answers to questions not raised by the my post .

You can also check http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1477086/posts?page=51#51 which is a picture of several white solders helping a black man on a thread where racism was being discussed and refuted.

Kathleen deserves IMPEACHMENT. She did wear her slacks rolled up today but that's not enough. The prepositioning and preparedness was a total failure and she's in a state of denial if she thinks where was no emergency. The world isn't blind.
