One of the unfortunate diseases of the body politic has been the increasing politicalization of the US Supreme Court. This was not caused by conservatives; however, perhaps it should be solved by a conservative President.
One outstanding chance is now upon us. Most likely, President Bush will take the safe road and go through the political gauntlet and appoint a known conservative judge. What we really need is a break in the partisanship of the appointment process. Nominating former President Clinton would give everyone pause and begin a process where politicians (mostly, but not exclusively Democrats) can cease making efforts to please narrow interest groups in the selection process.
I know former President Clinton has personal flaws. I also know his reputation for politically catering to the pro-choicers and so forth. If any of you know a successful politiican, you know how much many of them hate being jerked around by special interest groups. I do believe Clinton began as a centrist in his party and did sign the welfare reform bill and so forth.
I could give his other qualifications, but I will leave it here.
With all the bad news of late a little humor - right?
It would certainly one up the Hildabeast. Her dreams of the Presidency would be over, but we'd have to put up with Bill in the spotlight til he died. UGH!
Wonder if she'd proclaim herself Co-Chief Justice?
Thanks for making me consider it but I'll pass. I want them both out of the spotlight.
He'd have to wrest the robe from Hillary, the Co-Chief Justice. What a fight that would be!
ROTFLOL.....
Is that clear enough?
LOL!!!
Sure, the guy who raped Juanita Brodderick and masturbated in the Oval Office sink after doing strange things with his cigar - - ah, nevermind.
Your thread is a joke, right?
Sorry!
Would he wear anything under the robe?
You continue making the most succinct perfect analysis with your postings. Keep up the great work.

Oh H3LL no!
And Hillary as the ambassador to the Bermuda Triangle.
And your cure for this disease is to name a politician as Chief Justice?
With Bill Clinton, it's easy to be succinct. What part of "cigar" don't you understand :)
Are you certain that something serious hasn't befallen you? This calls for a MAJOR BARF ALERT!!!Bill Clinton is a FELON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
K, but would he wear any clothes under his robes? Probbaly a question the Senate would ask him.
My fault--hardly anyone gets my puns.
