Sen. Mary Landrieu threatened the president of the United States with physical violence on Sunday, saying that if he or any other government official criticizes New Orleans police for failing to keep civil order in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - "I might likely have to punch him - literally."
"If one person criticizes [our sheriffs], or says one more thing, including the president of the United States, he will hear from me - one more word about it after this show airs and I - I might likely have to punch him - literally," Landrieu railed on "ABC's "This Week."
It is illegal to threaten the president with physical violence.
The Louisiana Democrat blasted Bush for neglecting the New Orleans levees, and demanded that he stop using the disaster for "photo-ops."
"The president came here yesterday for a photo-op," Landrieu charged, while surveying the disaster scene via helicopter with "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos in tow. "He got his photo-op but we are never going to get this fixed if he does not send us help now."
Landrieu also blamed Bush for cutting funding for levee improvement, before bursting into tears on camera.
In recent days, Louisiana officials have been criticized for bungling evacuation and rescue efforts. One of those officials, Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, is Sen. Landrieu's brother.
Lighten up...you're not serious?
Checking any Dim's voting record has been declared a personal smear attack. Besides, she's got Nagin's Navy currently docked on Lake Blanco backing her up.

Hey BC,
The (spirit)?????? (to whom it applies), Public Assistance, Welfare, ADC from the womb to the tomb.
Yes, the Spirit was clearly demonstrated by the looting, raping, murdering and get Whitey& blame Bush mentality.
Incompetent leaders always blame someone else for their blunders and cowardiness to act in times of crisis.
Let (NO) become the new Atlantis, and remain uninhabitated. Hell life cannot be too, bad laying up in the cut on a carnival cruise ship for six months or more.
As to spirit to rebuild, Ms and Al possess all the requirements for they have the leaders who will make it happen. I cannot say the same for NO sadly.

I've never personally seen a crocodile want to cry anyway, so she would need much self control...
ken5050 made an excellent point earlier in this thread that the behavior of Landreiux and that twit of a governor will illustrate the inability of women to effectively rule.
This could have a negative effect on Hillary. Course, she seems emotion-less, but nonetheless, I am hoping that there will be political fall out for all these turds.
I believe she should get her mind in order and get away from being an all things to all people representative, especially on abortion.
The voting machines with the dem votes already in there have been seen floating down the Mississippi......which is why ms. landrieu is crying!
Now that's some impressive leadership!/s
If you or I did such a thing we would be arrested on the spot. As a Louisianian, I can do no less than demand that she be arrested and charged with a crime.
Just to clarify, I don't believe that women can't effectively rule, but they have not helped the cause.
Thank goodness Condi is an example on the other end of the spectrum.
Should she decide to run again, her opponent should be able to make great use of the footage.
Ever noticed how the Feds go after the LAPD and milk toast the NOPD. NSNR
A president should uphold the dignity of the office, not allow himself to be perceived as a punching bag.
Time was, presidents had respected public figures speaking up in their defense, with righteous wrath when appropriate.
I have some forlorn hope that GHWB will let them have it. He's just about the last of the unemasculated breed.
The levee was retrofitted 7 years ago.
Why in the hell is it the prsidents job to send money to N.O. to fix the levees, many states have levees is the feds going to fix their's also?
She is a senator from LA, gee maybe she could have stepped in to help co-ordinate rescue. Why didn't the mayor and or the governor get things going?
I just need to be pointed in the direction on whom to contact.
Secret Service, huh?
She's my senator. It's time to stop this snowball rolling down hill.

Actually eleventh on the list of "Herod's Heroes" in the Senate is the Democratic senator from Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu-Snellings. As an ally of satan through her uncompromising pro-abortion stance, she is enabling lucifer to "destroy both soul and body in hell." Through her actions she has become an enemy of God and the Roman Catholic Church. This is not a political statement on Landrieu, but rather a moral statement. One she and her bishops should take very, very seriously.

I would guess YES on all points....
We can all pray that the Democrat Leftists will suffer massive destruction and damage once the extent of their incompetence, corruption and feckless performance is KNOWN....
The Democrat leadership in LA will be seen in STARK comparison to Mississippi and Alabama who took the full force of the Hurricane.
