New Orleans public transit buses:
Count 'em and weep...
Dreux Ave bus yard:
"But they weren't Greyhound busses."
I wondered if NO had public transit.
I figured it did.
That is BEYOND ridiculous!

Well, did a quick count and came up with 420 buses. Even if half were not functioning, that would leave 210. 210 X 40 people = 8,400 people evacuated.
If they could have made two trips: 16,800 people.
Obviously this mayor does not have proper cognitive abilities.
"count em and weep"
Once I get past the anger and the blame it really does bring a tear to my eye to think of all the people that could still be living if these buses and a more forceful evacuation had been made.
FWIW
woah
Just look at the environmental catastrophe in progress there. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE BUSES W/OUT EXCEPTION should've been drained of environmentally unfriendly fluids, this is an absolute travesty. Clearly George Bush has no concerns whatsoever about ANYTHING and certainly not for ANY of the gooslings and geeslings who will be impacted by this. PETA should be ALL OVER THIS, fish feel pain too you know.
I counted at least 400. Each of these buses could have carried at least 50 people to safety. That's 20,000!
Eat crow, Mr. Naggin (my spelling) I'm so sick of his griping that I am using that spelling of his name!
