Rev. Al Sharpton (R) holds a motherless child along with Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee (L) as they visit survivors of hurricane Katrina on the floor of the Astrodome in Houston, Texas September 3, 2005. President George W. Bush ordered more troops to help evacuate and secure New Orleans on Saturday as rescuers moved thousands of desperate evacuees out of the city and shut down two huge shelters that had become the scene of murder, rape and chaos. Under fire for his government's slow response to Hurricane Katrina, which wrecked one of the world's most famous cities and may have killed thousands of people, Bush said he will send in 7,200 additional active duty troops in the next three days. < REUTERS/Richard Carson

Every time I think that Sharpton has "jumped the shark" -- he does it again and again. I swear he must live to irritate me! LOL
What a poor excuse for a human being.
Al Sharpton only cares about "what's in it for Al".

Man, these LIBERALS are truly shameless in their quest for political opportunism. These two could give a rat's ass @ this poor kid.

If Al and Shiela were morally honest the "finger-pointing" would be closer to home...namely the Mayor and the Governor.
Their action/in-action needs to have some light shed on it!
The President declared the whole area a disaster area two days ahead of time and what did they do....other than get their own rears out of harms way????

Notice the pic. That precious child is turning his/her head away , far away from al...
If it was our President they would be hugging each other.
Children know...love...when they see it, as well, as feel it.
Nope. Not a heck of a lot of feeling or seeing there, either one.
They all look miserable..sad for the child.

Get that "motherless child" out of his arms, and into the care of Child Protective Services immedidately. She needs the security and safety of a home environment.
That child has been through enough, without being used as a pawn for these two poliltical opportunists.

Rev Al captures the TV cameras again with same old Conservatives are racists story. One would think that Hollywood could give these folks a new script.
By the way, how is it that Haley Barber and Mississippi didn't have these same problems? It must be that bush sent all the resources to GOP govenors first.(/sarcasm)
