Please post any information you have that relates to the current status of gulf ports - waterways - rivers - highways - townships - etc.
The lower Mississippi River is open to deep draft vessels with up to 35 ft draft.
The only port that remains 100% closed is the port at Gulf Port MS.
All other gulf ports are now functioning with some restrictions.
approx 70% of bouys-markers-etc have sunk or they are missing or have been knocked off location. They are actively getting these replaced and or back into position.

From Railspot
Subject: Rerouted BNSF On TIBR
BNSF train M LALBIR4 01A (Regular
Manifest-Lafayette,LA-Birmingham,AL) was seen
detouring north bound out of Beaumont around 1AM today
on the Timber Rock RR headed for handoff to the BNSF
at Tenaha,TX.
Power:
2 BNSF SD40-2's
1 BNSF GP39-2
Supposedly over 100 cars on this one.
This is the 3rd hurricane detour/reroute that I know
of that Timber Rock has handled.
