Today President Bush toured the Gulf Coast states of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana and and did his best to comfort the victims of the most destructive natural disaster in the history of the United States
Watching the president yesterday in that briefing, I thought how comfortable he is letting other people talk. If it were Clinton he'd be doing ALL the talking, then he would take the credit for the work others had done.
Well I have to sign-off now. Hope you have a great day, Snugs. Maybe I'll check in later on Wolfstar's Dose.
Jonny
I got the time wrong in the first message hope you saw the second one
The President just coming up on FNC
I saw it! :) 82nd Airborne, 1st Cavalry and the Marines are on their way!
Well .. you and I would have left - but these people have lived on the public dole for so long - they don't have any incentive to help themselves.
This is the legacy of the democrat-run NO - people expecting the govt to pick up the tab for everything and doing nothing for themselves.
There truly are people who need help - but more people need to be TAUGHT to care for themselves.
Jeff Goldblatt and even Phil Keating have done an excellent job of reporting. And, also Rick Fulbaum from Miss.
Mmmm. Tato-Nuts. I hope it's ok. I haven't been able to reach my sister, but the phone situation is spotty. I heard that Shearwater Pottery is gone, but apparently they had all the originals of the works of Walter Anderson and his other family members in a safe, so they were preserved. Also, I heard that the works in the museum had been prepared to survive the storm. I went there for the first time with my older sister this past summer. I LOVE Walter's art, especially the tiles that he did. I love the Arts and Crafts period, and his tiles are evocative of that style. I hope it all came through OK.
Great post, and information that needs to be spread far and wide to counter the bashing that the President is getting right now. With your permission, I'm going to incorporate that info into a letter to the editor of my local newspaper here in MA where they have NO CLUE when it comes to hurricane damage, and even LESS of a clue about the 'chain of command' in case of storms.
I plagiarized the information from others.
Some info was from the Bill O'Reilly show, some from a thread I could ping you to.
You're welcome to use from me because I felt welcome to use from others.
Thanks everyone for your prayers. Let's keep praying for all those folks who lost everything!
Great news, Suzi! We'll definitely continue our prayers. So many have lost so much.
You? :-D
LOL, yes I am a closet player on Barbie.com. Sssh, don't tell anyone. No actually it was my 6 year old. Barbie is the best to her.
Isn't our military the best? I was feeled with pride in those wonderful men and women doing all they could to help.
Oh, I agree Mike. I just can't rid of this helpless feeling this whole thing is going to hurt the President big time.
What weekly broadcast??
The only weekly broadcast I know of that he does is the radio broadcast. What weekly broadcast are you talking about??
Great news Suzie. Can't imagine your feeling of relief.
