Geraldo is America's bad luck charm.
Wherever he goes nothing good happens.
We ought to lock him up next time we are facing a do or die situation.

Well, if you live in New Jersey and think like we do, then you are sort of a refugee yourself.
Welcome to your new home!

The guy speaking next to President Bush in that photo is the FEMA chief, not the Alabama Governor.

One of the things I love about him is that no matter who criticizes him (unjustly) like the Mayor of NO, he shows up and works with him and acts like nothing was ever said, and just does what he has to do for the poor people in this disaster with dignity, grace and compassion. He is far above all that smallness, and people just can't understand him -- it drives them crazy. You can tell he has God's love in his heart-because it's bigger than all the pettiness that people display. It just deserved to be repeated!

I agree Shep kept saying that I am not laying blame at anyones door but these people need help. Maybe he has been too emotional maybe he should not have kept showing the body but I feel it did it because he felt this would help whether it is right or wrong.
I also think he has been there too long and hopefully FOX will bring him home this weekend.

The guy speaking next to President Bush in that photo is the FEMA chief, not the Alabama Governor. I know that. Riley was standing on the president's right.

I thought he was bad mouthing the Mayor of NO, ..........
That was my impression as well. He was upset because he evacuated those people from the hotel over the ones in the dome, the ones who needed medical help. I can cut him some slack because I would be very emotional too if I were there and there wasn't much I could do to help. Also people keep mentioning he needs to give them food and water and he has, when he is able. He's also gotten several people medical assistance when he has been able to. He can be over the top at times but like I said who wouldn't be? Geraldo on the other hand.....I will watch and see. :)

LOL, I never thought of it that way, but I believe your right. I can't think of one situation that his presence made better.

He commented during that interview that he is not on drugs and is thinking clearly. That's an odd thing for a mayor to feel he needs to mention, don't you think? Very odd. This isn't the first time that I've seen Nagin and drugs mentioned in the same sentence.

I got the impression that W was impatient rather than angry or annoyed maybe he felt rather than all the talk and showing of diagrams that he has probably seen a 100 times that they should be getting on with the purpose of the visit actually visiting the people the explanation of what is currently being done can be done at the same time.

I agree with you I think Shep emotions on the whole have been real when Geraldo to me seem manufactured.

Beautiful first post to the Dose ThatPat!! THANKS!
You clearly belong here! When the whole world seems to be going mad, this island of SANITY and LOVE (for the President, and each other) is always here at the end of the day.

Yes but on the t.v. news they showed footage of Riley and the FEMA director with Bush in Mobile and that is what jonny is referring to.

It will never happen Jonny. They are all blaming the President. Yeah and it's predictable. But there still needs to be an investigation. They can blame the president all they want, but eventually the truth will win out. Hundreds--maybe thousands--died because of Nagin's and Blanco's incompetence. That can't be swept under the rug.
To: patriciaruth
Well, you could post it as a vanity, with a caveat that you're not sure if it is all accurate.
It is seriously good.................keep thinking about it.

Good morning snugs. What's the reaction to all of this on your side of the pond?
To: snugs
Yes Geraldo does come off contrived. Shep also lost a home in Mississippi. He mentioned that on Wed. I believe. I haven't had the impression he's badmouthing Bush, I just think he has been there too long like you said. He needs a break.
