Today President Bush toured the Gulf Coast states of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana and and did his best to comfort the victims of the most destructive natural disaster in the history of the United States
He's the governor of my state. Alabama
I heard that too. And I doubt anyone who hasn't eaten in three days would be so finicky.
Geraldo was jumping all over the place (a bit ADD). He shows us all how the police are there protecting him but he is going into the crowd anyway because the crowd is not mad at him. Then he is talking to some of the evacuees and trying really hard to work himself into a good cry. He looked like he was trying to squeeze tears from his eyes.
All of this set Shep off again. O'Reilly had ol' Shep calmed down by forcing him to report actual facts. But I think Shep thought that Geraldo might beat him out of an Emmy so he got wound up again and had to make the tears squeeze from his eyes.
The whole thing was waaay over the top!
Boy that's for sure!
But he.......like Job.......is faithful. More prayer!
How is your family in Gautier? Have you heard from them?
USM is shut down until Tuesday next week.
I saw that too. And, why did Fox have to include that clip??? That's what has me so angry. We are in the middle of a national disaster and rather than trying to find ways to improve things, the media tries to stir up trouble. Disgusting.
A NEW THREAD UP. THE HATE JUST KEEPS COMING

Kanye West Ruins Relief Show
At a Red Cross benefit shown on NBC for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief, singer Kanye West launched a vicious attack on President Bush, stating that "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
Okay, I left myself open for that one. But you had better sleep with one eye open because I'm having a talk with your Big Boy. He will be sleeping on your head tonight! LOL
Exactly right! That's the same impression I had. He's probably a nice enough guy, but he was trying too hard today, IMO.
It is a great article, Sorry i haven't responded till now, my cable modem keeps losing its signal
Geraldo was a bit over the top, but my opinion of Shep is a bit different. I think all he has seen the last few days is bothersome. It is not easy to watch people dying, especially when it is not necessary. Do I think he could report the postive, yes I do but do I blame him for being upset because he is seeing what the incomptence of the local gov't caused, not really. Geraldo just got there, but Shep has been there since Monday, so I am sort of overlooking his emotionally charged speeches, for now.
I agree and Geraldo using the little babies to provoke the emotion was shameful
Why did they build New Orleans there?
The answer to the whole question is in your post. The French did it, the incompetent French. You would expect one of their projects to turn out like this.
Thank you. So many names, I can't keep anything straight.
LOL! Now that's a good one. :)
Do you recall how greatful the Iraqis were when the troops handed them MREs?
You bet, Some people have had it to easy.
Would you consider posting that as its own thread? Those things need to be trumpeted far and wide beyond the DOSE.
Just my humble opinion.........you always humble me with your wisdom, patty......
Patriciaruth, much of what you posted is right on the money...a lot of this came out in O'Reilly's discussion with Col Hunt. Gov. Blanco bears a lot of responsibility in this situation but you won't hear her name mentioned by her Dim colleagues.
