"I just didn't want to see my family drown," said Phillip, a seventh-grader who spent Wednesday in a shelter at the junior high school he normally attends. "I was scared if I didn't keep helping, somebody would die."

He probably will. Any kid that motivated as a thirteen year old has a future. He sounds like the kind that comes out stronger through these kind of tirals.

I just read somewhere else about a 6 mo. old and a 4 day old baby dying from dehydration near the Superdome.

Thanks for this uplifting story. I needed it.
