Tropical Storm 12
Geraldo on. "hell on earth"........he's just getting warmed up!
It sounds like Oreilly has some kind of team that helped him get the patients out. Geraldo's report - pretty desperate.
yes but they think they were killed when Katrina came in - they were drowned and were in a low land area of NO. (no excuse I know - but most likely they died when the storm came through.)
Geraldo on now - LA police chief, still at this damn convention center. karl, it still sounds very bad at the convention center.
Did he just say 30,000 people still in the convention center?????
**I just put it on and watched Anderson Cooper interview a family in Mississippi, who bashed Bush because they had no help in their state....that "ALL the national guard were in Iraq."
I have to stop watching. My B/P is rising!**
God, I saw that, too. I did the same thing. I thought, "CNN must seek out Bush haters for their interviews... Not EVERYONE feels this way... do they?"
I'm on vacation this week, and have been watching this crap all day. It's so comforting to me to know that there are others like me!!
I love Free Republic!!
HOLY @#$%!!!!
30,000 PEOPLE in the CONVENTION CENTER???
He was pissed..... try and watch his re-run later tonight. He did not cut Nagie any slack at all.. said blaming Bush was N/G because this was a black city run by a black mayor and black council and they failed their constituents.... he said calling this a white vs black wasn't going to cut it because of the way the city has been run.
I heard most of the interview too, and I was actually cheering on Trent Lott!
For the FIRST time, Trent sounded more like a human than a politician.
He did good!
This time, he was talking like a REAL leader.
Thats their police chief? He doesn't know anything!
yes!
Well the commercial jets that are evacuating are landing in San Antonio. Husband just called on his way home.. at least 4 commercial aircraft on the ground at Lackland/Kelly. NUMEROUS military aircraft .. C-5s and C-130s. Also said lots and lots of uniforms on the ground.
They have the evacuees in one building while they are are finishing up the big wharehouse... he saw HUGE airconditioning units going in, as well the SBC putting in phone lines. They are really pulling together the facility FAST!!
He started working down there after the military pulled out so he said he's never seen so many people on the base.. laugh.
Sounds like Oreilly is trying to help orchestrate evacuations.
Do you believe this bs. Geraldo is off the wall.!!!!
What is this BOR and Geraldo to the rescue on Fox.
I was afraid that was what he said! I was hoping that I was wrong. OMG
MSM would do best, IMHO, to focus on the evacuees being "temp" settled into the arms of loving neighbors, on all scales: State, families, agencies, private orgs. IOW, time for them to pack up their cameras, and perhaps get onto one of those evacuee buses.
If the report is accurate, 30,000 people at the New Orleans Convention Center with no food or water, and a three days old promise of transportation with none in sight.
the police chief said 30K people - they need buses. what is going on there? is the convention center surrounded by water? those people can't walk to the superdome?
