Amen.
And the rest of us, too.
and the number rises.
Thanks for that update.
Sorry, I can't agree with you that it's a "national disgrace." This is a disaster. No more could have been done than what is being done. This could happen again in our nation as a result of an earthquake, another hurricane, or a terrorist attack. Certainly we will learn from it. I pray this isn't practice for the next big whatever.
My heart and prayers go out to everyone who is aiding in the rescue mission. The MSM must give encouragement at this vital time. They shouldn't fall apart, panic or point fingers. The world is watching.
I agree they should get the hell out.
However, that is between that reporter and FNC. I think we will see them getting out in the next couple days too.
That said, we shouldn't be criticizing them. Nor ripping them, nor making fun of them. it's childish. And if what they are doing is wrong, then what people on FR are saying isn't any more right.
This place looks like DU tonight.
We Texans don't concern ourselves with the likes of Jesse.
Did anyone hear what the guy on Greta said about Governors sending something to La...NG? or were they saying they are taking people in. I heard him say Gov. Granholm..Mich is sending or taking something.
ACLU
I am with you.
The discussion of Geraldo and Shep is pointless.
People disagree. Can we pleas leave it at that for crying out loud.
I am perplexed about the number of people in the conv center,,I initially heard 3000 and now hearing multiples of that. Does anyone know?
"Meanwhile other areas have been evacuated, and if the Convention center had been evacuated instead of the other areas you'd be calling that a disgrace."
Yes, that's right.
Plan #1 should have been to evacuate the Superbowl.
Plan #2 should have been to evacuate the second place people where the most people are congregating.
As for everything else, we're just gonna have to agree to disagree. I don't think Shep or Geraldo were hysterical.
Don't underestimate us. That's not nice.
... nor wise.
Blanco on listing the specific help she has requested. Looks like she had to learn how to request help. Said that she knows the President will meet their needs.
There are times when watching Shep that I've seen a really nasty combination of anger and arrogance in him. I consider him a jerk and a mere "newsreader." What has he ever done of substance? Broken anything?
indeed, Blanco is the #1 cause of this. I've been saying for 2 days now, was it on purpose? did the DNC tell her to hold back on maintaining civil order, so FEMAs job would be harder and they could turn it on Bush? the DNC is certainly capable of this.
"...can he become the only human being to get kicked out of Afghanistan and NOLA?"
LOL!
let's pause
for a poetry break
suppose Life is an old man carrying flowers on his head.
young death sits in a cafe smiling, a piece of money held between his thumb and first finger
(i say "will he buy flowers" to you and "Death is young life wears velour trousers life totters, life has a beard" i
say to you who are silent.--"Do you see Life? he is there and here, or that, or this or nothing or an old man 3 thirds asleep, on his head flowers, always crying to nobody something about les roses les bluets yes, will He buy? Les belles bottes--oh hear , pas chères")
and my love slowly answered I think so. But I think I see someone else
there is a lady, whose name is Afterwards she is sitting beside young death, is slender; likes flowers.
Are you saying power didn't go out in New Orleans until 11:30 EST or later on Monday? That's 10:30 central time. I live in Central Mississippi, and our power went off at about 12:30 central time. I don't think it stayed on that long in New Orleans, or at least not in most places. At least not according to what I have heard from people who were there.
He spoke of it as a check point where people were turned back.
And with this Fort fumble operation I wouldn't put anything past the authorities.
I think it might be a political tiff between her and the mayor of NO. After reading his bio, and learning that he supported the republican candidate over her in the governor's race.
Michigan is taking 10,000 evacuees.
