Just heard Blanco finaly comandeered the states school buses to evac what is left of NO.
As opposed to 5 days with out food or water surround by rapists and murders?
A week late, and a billion dollars short.
There crystal ball was in for repairs.
Free people are not the chattel to be played with like checkers by the elite in government.
Why the hell didn't these people plan an escape for them selves?
They know some times the wind blows and it rains real hard.
I saw an interview this morning. She was railing against President Bush, complaining about the pace of help. Then, Miles O'Brian from CNN asked her when she had requested federal troops [troops can't go in until requested by governor]. At first she wouldn't answer. Miles finally called her on it and asked, "Wasn't it on Wednesday?".
She instantly got extremely defensive. After just finishing bashing Bush, she said, "I am not going to play the blame game". Pathetic. She should be removed from office immediately since she has completely failed and continues to fail to provide anything positive to this effort.
Too busy with hurricane parties! Could not be bothered.
Important facts about Louisiana politics.
Governor: RAT
LA House: RAT
LA Senate: RAT
New Orleans: RAT
Louisiana runs first or near first in all negatives, and last or nearly last in all positives.
Not those buses, a lot of local schools here in central La. are closed today and sending buses to NO. Although considering the condition of the buses, we will likely see a few broken down on I-10 before they reach Texas
Kill A Commie For Mommie
Seven Dead Monkeys Page O Tunes
LOL, you got me there. But a ride for any period of time on a school bus is horrible. A rough ride on a hard seat with only 6 inches between the seats.
They were busy - making sure that after the mandatory evacuation order N.O.'s school buses wouldn't be used to evacuate anybody and would be flooded. Hey, it's nasty work, but somebody had to do it.
From now on I'm going to refer to her as Governor Queeg.
I guess the Brits would say she, "requisitioned" them. (with a stiff upper lip.)
Would these be the buses we have seen on other posts standing in a lake of water? Wanna bet me how many are damaged beyond repair, and shed where the keys for the vehicles were stored have been swept away?
Why does this sound like TOO LITTLE-TOO LATE???
Or am I just being too critical???
I don't know if this will help answer your question or not, but up until practically the last minute, the local teevee stations were downplaying the severity of the hurricane as well as the likelihood of it hitting New Orleans. This from people who did get out--they were disgusted with the local reporting.
Man Pete, you amaze me. CNN ACTUALLY asked a Dem a TOUGH question! A CNNer ACTUALLY KNEW the law! Amazing. Thanks. You give me hope this is not COMPLETELY hopeless
FYI: Watching WWL. Looks like fire in NO has spread to other buildings.
Hmm...maybe a little too late for THESE buses
But, like EVERY DemonRAT, you can manage to BUS them from Precinct to Precinct in an Election year to perpetrate voting FRAUD...but these buses weren't GOOD ENOUGH to evacuate the population in!
Want proof? try Mayor Nagin's own words from CNN interrview...
"Nagin was quoted in that local radio interview -- replayed on CNN and other networks -- that there had been a proposal to use school buses. "School buses!" he ranted with disdain,
This is clear proof of Black ELITE POLITICAL CLASS vs Black POOR Crime!
While the MSM is blaming Bush, the people in the city don't have access to the MSM spin. They might have a different opinion than the Mayor's.
Gee I wonder if the local officals are sorry now they started this "Too little-too late" talk?
