I"m not familiar with the insurrection act either. Perhaps he means Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution

"...he ought to send his own helicopter in for search and rescue."
Except for all the classified equipment it holds.

Working with Governor to deploy 600 of the newly arrived MP's to secure the site so food and medicine can get in there. The site he was referring to is the convention center, I believe. He really needed to address that after the discouraging videotape from yesterday.
To: ShadowDancer
That was a message to the Gov and NO mayor...

Clinton would have made it a 30-minute "uplifting" speech, then he would have actually done little. Pres. Bush is a man of few words but real action.

Bingo. It doesn't really matter who dropped the ball, because the PERCEPTION out there is that the Feds aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing.

Off Topic, but last night we were in emergency room (Hazleton PA) for my little baby (she if fine). There was a Hick talking to an old gentleman in the waiting room and he said, "This country has gone downhill since he took office". LOL LOL I had to walk away, my husband would have had a fit if I would have spoken out, this is what I am dealing with here in this hick town. At work and now at the hospital. Not were I live though my neighbors are all sane Bush supporters.

Is it going to be another fluff speech or is actually going to announce that we're sending in the 101st to clean house?

John Fund on CSPAN just got finished wondering if perhaps a government bureaucracy is not the best way to handle some situations.I think they should commission a multi-million dollar study of that issue and hire Bahbah to do it. I already know the answer, so it won't be much work.
