The Poll question should really read 1. "Have the Democrats created monsters that act out with lawlessness after national tragedies?"

2. "Has Caretaking and enabling hurt our country with entitlements and should we get back to teaching responsibility in communities?"

I'm not going to participate in a stupid poll like that. How the hell do you think the president is doing regard Katrina? This kind of stuff makes me sick.

Not that anyone would actually vote more than once in an Internet poll {sarcasm}; but, in this case, the only thing preventing it is a cookie that the AOL site plants in your computer, when you vote.

The cookie's name is:"webcenter.polls.aol" -- find something matching that description on your computer, delete it, and you can vote until your index finger gets repetitive stress syndrome.

This is just dumb....if we started a nation wide drive to abolish polls...life will be much better...

Bush has nothing to do with the immediate handling of this crisis. This poll is very irrelevant and is just another excuse to poll people on how they feel about Bush.

Re: Your votes needed here!

Why do you need my help.

Aside from the Coast Guard. The Federal response is very disapointing thus far. So I won't vote him up just because the Libs want him to poll low.

Fair at best. I hope he's catching his stride, but right now he only looks good in comparison the rest of the politicians. I'm sick of partisanship. I'm calling out whoever isn't pulling the load, regardless of Party. The Democrats: Too many to mention. The Republicans: Right now Hastert is far and away in the lead as assclown of the month.

I posted this earlier on the Live Thread - but this is a good place for a repost.

From a friend in NOLA...Someone was complaining about AF1 flying over and causing a TFR - which could have delayed rescue efforts...

Read this - from someone who is there...

This is a very overwhelming situation and it's difficult to put things into perspective at this time. There are thousands of desperate people that haven't had food, water or sleep in almost a week. They can't think straight. Shots were fired at a military chopper this morning. Although it may sometimes interfere with the rescue efforts, some safety measures still have to be taken. While the TFR was enforced and delayed other relief efforts, rescues by the coast guard and other groups were still ongoing.

Politics aside, we have to thank our President as he is responsible for getting food and water to a vast number of evacuees; a basic task that our local government failed to accomplish. After his flyover, help quickly came in force. Things started to move forward. In a crisis like this one, nothing ever happens fast enough but we have noticed significant improvements since the President took control of the rescue efforts and we should be grateful for that.

Three states have been seriously handicaped... A major city is no more and its people need to be rescued...

To all rushing out to help, it may be frustrating at times. Everyone is overwhelmed and there is not enough chiefs on site to coordinate the efforts and direct all the indians efficiently. Please be patient and don't give up. Thousands of people need your help.

As Finman posted on another thread, until President Bush goes down there with a bucket and a rifle, start shooting looters and dumping buckets of water back in the Levy, the libs are going to disapprove.

Bush and Katrina? Let's see - he declared a disaster area even before the storm struck.

I do wonder why he hasn't taken it on himself to declare Martial Law for the NO area. The Governor of LA seems to not have the backbone, and the Mayor of NO is begging for help....

So I don't know that all that could be done, is being done.

It's hopeless. The entire premise is false.

Shouldn't the poll read: How is the Mayor/Governor doing?

Apparently only 14% feel our President is doing a good job while 61% can't see past the finger pointing.
