A liberal caller on Hannity cited that liberal blogs have set up a link to donate to hurricane victims, and challenged conservatives to do the same.
....only if the liberals will sign a petition to build more oil refineries...
They need to check out Hugh's and Instapundit's site. As well as Michelle Malkin, Little Green Footballs, Captains Quarters, Powerlineblog, etc.
There are tons of people involved on the right.
I hope Hannity realizes this.
What a assclown.
First of all, only a fool would trust a donation link on a dem website.
That said, this isn't a game and those needing help certainly aren't keeping score... conservatives should tell the libs to go play with themselves.
He did say that conservative blogs have links up.
This is pretty stupid, given that one of Hannity's stong points is his generosity and track record of supporing charitable causes or actually putting together large charitable events like benefit concerts. I'm not a big Hannity fan but I will give him his well deserved props in this regard.
If Hannity really wants to drive home a point he should have told the caller that he'd be organizing a recruitment effort to enlist help from well-armed citizens who are willing to go down and shoot a bunch of looters in New Orleans.
What do they want?
Our Phone bills to see if we called 1 800 Help Now?
The guys at Wizbang set up a whole other blog for this: http://hurricaid.com/
That being said I did go to my Sam's Club today to donate to the Salvation Army. The checker didn't know anything about taking donations. However, there was a "can" on the counter at the Membership desk. They will only take cash and checks. I thought the money would be going to the Salvation Army but the can said, "agencies". Either way, if you want to give, you may have to look around for the donation drop off. I did tell them they might be aware that more folks would be coming in once word got out.
Liberals post links. Conservatives write checks.
Unlike dims, I didn't need to be told that the Red Cross was going to need money to help in the aftermath of Katrina.
WalMart/Sam's Clubs have donated to both Salvation Army and Red Cross - that could be what "agencies" mean.....they also give much to local "agencies."
I gave <10 times more to charity than Gore and Kerry the years they reported their IRS statements. They 100 times more money than I do.
Damn political hack.
We know where to donate, we don't need government to tell us how. I just gave money directly at Walmart today matter of fact! Let alone online sites where contributions are being collected and phone numbers being given by the President.
The sign said they had given to the Salvation Army but it said donations would be given to relief agencies. I was under the impression donations through them would also go only to the Salvation Army like theirs did. That is why I was pointing out the plural form. Either way, I do trust they will get it to the right people.
