All of these people remind me of Harry Truman - the old guy that refused to evacuate when Mt. St. Helens was threatening to blow.
He's dead now.

Some of these other cnn headers sound bad also, but no articles with them yet?

When you look at the mothers, your heart just breaks. Some of the images we have gathered are very, very graphic. Has Chris Lawrence been alleviating the suffering he has seen?

So much for the billions we've spent on homeland security and disaster recovery.

Has anyone told these peopel to get off their butts and walk? Walk out of the city, get away and into civilization.
What is wrong with these people just sitting there.

I'm curious. I am not blaming anybody, but the question has to be asked...is there NO PLAN for evacuation?
This is insanity.

If you give them your adress I'm sure they would happily show up at your house.

That's what I keep thinking. There must be a way out of the city, at least to get to water. Why just sit there and wait for all this time? If you are physically able, just go.

I would get up and walk as far as I could and keep walking till I reached dry land and or help. Just sitting there like a load will not work. Able bodied people should help others and pull together. Clear rubble or get yourself out of the area, if possible.

Some of these other cnn headers sound bad also, but no articles with them yet? I'd love to see an article by CNN blaming Dan Rather .
Rather could have been investigating the impending dangers to New Orleans in these past few years of increased hurricane activity.
Instead of digging up fake memos, Rather could have suggested that the City of New Orleans pass a law to make it mandatory for landlords to provide inflatable lifeboats, just like they provide fire escapes.
Where were the 60-minutes and 20/20 crews when the people of New Orleans needed them these past few years?
Bush-bashing, natch.

they are not leaving because they are not that smart...they stayed because they are not that smart..they want someone to take care of them..
One thing they can save money on is the rebuilding the schools...it obvious none of these people learned anything in them..
