Family member just received a phone call from a brother on the team.To the best of my knowledge, the use of Delta Force units are never discussed and certainly members of a deployed or about to be deployed unit do not call family members.
Moreover, there are severe restrictions on what federal military troops can do in a US civilian environment vs what state military troops are permitted to do.
Trust...but verify.
This is an unsubstantiated and most probably false rumor.

Somehow I don't think this is true, or the group in question is not Delta Force. I don't see the President authorizing a SF operation in America to kill Americans (no matter how savage we think they are). They "victims" families would be in court for years arguing about Possee Comitatus and how they had no right to be there.
The other issue I have is "Family member just received a phone call from a brother on the team." I've never known anyone on any SF team to call family before deploying, especially to identify the theater they are operating in.
This sounds like a bad case of telephone. Could it be some elite NG unit instead?
