I saw a clip of the super dome and the folk out there, STILL in the thousands....WHAT GIVES? I will not pardon the shooter, but those folks must be awful tired, hungry, anxious and desperate to get the heck outta there. I think the governor or mayor or SOMEONE with big credentials needs to make an appearance to these folks in person and calm them down. All human beings need reassurance at one time or another! They don't know what is going on right now with the evacuation plans. They didn't see the President speak or probably haven't heard a word from anyone else but those who are chartering them away in buses! HOW awful to be in their shoes right now. Now with all that said, looters and those shooting at their rescuers need to be apprehended immediately! Lifting prayers for those folks who are still waiting to be rescued!

Diane Sawyer tried to trip the President up this AM in her interview of him. She asked why it took so long to convene a meeting of top officials concerning Katrina. Bush responded by saying the storm was Monday/Tuesday, he returned to Washington Wednesday and held the first meetings, stating that the people in charge needed 24 hours at a minimum to assess the situation so appropriate action could be taken in terms of prioritizing the recovery effort. Bush beat off the first attack with a logical explanation ... which is difficult for liberal 'Rats that infest the MSM to fathom.

Why fix the city? Because these vermin are not "the city." They are from the slums of the city--and I might add, all cities have slums, and the types of people now running amuck in New Orleans. Just be thankful YOU haven't had a disaster, else you'd be fighting YOUR version of this outrage. Looting is unacceptable for any reason: shoot to kill on sight at maximum range. Any mistakes, too bad, you shouldn't have looked like you were looting.

Anyone caught shooting at police or military should be shot on sight, or if captured alive, publicly executed where the gangs in NO can observe, after a drumhead court martial.
