The governor is in the middle of a nervous breakdown And her Lt. Governor is Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu's brother, Mitchell Landrieu! They are a LONG TIME Louisiana politicial corruption family.
An honorary degree will be presented to the entire family of former New Orleans mayor and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Maurice Moon Landrieuincluding daughter U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu and son Louisiana Lt. Gov. Mitchell Landrieuon May 13 at Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law.

The situation in NO is disgusting. The politicians didn't do anything to get people out of the city soon enough. They were worried about getting sued or losing votes from another possible near miss. Now they don't want to stop the looting, no, the pillaging of New Orleans. Why even bother fixing the levees? These are the residents of this city. With this behaviour, the city needs to be buried, not rebuilt. The whole place is turning into Mogadishu and the elected officials are doing everything they can let it happen. And I thought Detroit was going to be the first city-turned-thrid-world-cess-pool.

A lot of them made it out, you are right. My relatives took off before the evacuation was even ordered--the weather reports told them all they needed to know!

Well, this certainly isn't an exemplar of civility, now is it?

What really worries me is that there will be some of the same element that go with the evac. How long till we start seeing similar scenes in other cities?

It is up to us to highlight the fact that *this* is the results of decades of Liberal Leadership. Generations of welfare has lead to anarchy, pandemonium and unnecessary loss of life.

Waiting to hear our blasted media find a way to blame this, too, on President Bush.
Waiting? Where have you been.
Bush's fault because he sent all the Guard to Iraq.
Bush's fault because of Kyoto and Global Warming
Bush's fault because he didn't order gas rationing.
Bushes fault because he didn't get the Regular forces in there immediatly.
Bush's fault because he spent money on Iraq instead of levees, beaches.
This is a partial list just off the top of my head.

Your relatives used common sense. Something that seems to be lacking in the hell hole known as NO right now.

Be careful saying that too loudly. The PC police will label you a racist for such degrading remarks against people who have known only oppression and violence from white people their whole lives. They have been put down and now they are celebrating their social justice. < / major sarc>

Kill them all. Everyone looting or being a thug.
There it is. If they don't stop it now, this will just spread from city to city.

The Mayor and Police Chief sleeping in this morning? Perhaps the DNC told them to stand aside and let the blame fall squarely on Bush.
To: MizSterious
Yes they would. VERY different.

That's just it. They DON'T need him in NOLA. If he comes, take him down to Canal Street and introduce him to the shark swimming there. Shark's got to eat, too.

"President Bush today federalized the national guard in Lousiana, and established Federal Region #1, for a period not more than 60 days henceforth (extendable), the boundaries of which are the current state of Louisiana, and appointed the former mayor of New York City, Rudolph L. Guiliani, as "Acting Governor Federal Region #1", reporting directly to the President, to immediately take control of the local situation in New Orleans and other areas, accordingly granted complete police powers and establishing a command post for the new Federal Region in Baton Rouge, Louisiana." (AP Dispatch--in my dreams) (yes, it is a joke but a thought nonetheless)
