God Bless the people of New Orleans
(Excerpt) Read more at nola.com ...
Shouldn't that be Lord Jesus, please help the people of New Orleans. ?
Seems to me that in just ordering God to bless someone, you had best be prepared to punish Him if He disobeys you.
Thanks for the post, there are so many! My friend is serving in Kuwait with the airforce right now and is supposed to come home in two weeks. We haven't heard from his girlfriend yet. Their apartment was in Biloxi only about half a mile from the beach (we assume it's gone). Last we heard was that she went to work at the hospital. Their dog was in the apartment. This is terrible. I hope only the phones/cellphones are to blame and she will call any of us soon. Please keep them in your prayers. God bless!
Mon
This is silly. I doubt a single person who has ever uttered the words, "God Bless" considered it an order. Except for you of course. "God Bless" is a request for God's Blessings for another.

Whatever pal. Nice way to F*&^up a thread regarding an enormous trajedy.
Until now, I didn't think about the soldiers overseas who are in the same situation as your friend. We will definitely pray for them. I am so sorry.
Thank you!!!!
I hope the link on this thread can help you Ex-S.

Lighten up JUST a touch.
Bump.
Heard on the radio today there is a MISSING PERSONS HELPLINE. The number is 225-925-6626. It's a Baton Rouge number but it is for all the areas (in LA?) afflicted by the storm. They will take down your info and that of your missing loved ones. I tried it several times today but it was always busy, but will keep trying tomorrow.
It won't let me register with a screen name. I tried about 7 different names that aren't that common and it kept coming up telling me that the name was already taken. Perhaps it will only let those that have LA zip codes register???
If you say so, but, as for me, I will assume God knows what He is talking about when He says "humble thyself..." Honor the Lord God swith all your heart and soul..." etc.
But you jsut go ahead and do what ever you want, but, you might want to keep Hebrews 9:27, Roomans 14:11, and Philipians 2:10 in mind.
As for me and mine, we will show honor, glory and servitude to the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus.

I do not know the answer to that. I tried connected to many New Orleans related websites last night, but most are down. I'm guessing that buildings which housed servers and such are flooded.
NOLA.com may be getting pounded by traffic. The message you are getting may be false.
Good luck my friend.
This might help you.
