President Bush: "We are dealing with one of the worst national disasters in our nation's history." Push has appropriated vast federal resources to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
78,000 people are currently in shelters. New Orleans evacuation continues. 10,000 additional National Guard troops have been called to service.
Hospitals are running low on supplies, and public health concerns include water borne disease, poor sanitation, food and drinking water contamination and shortages, mosquitoes, carbon monixide poisoning from electricity generators, lack of childcare, and the special needs of the elderly.

I'm so glad that there are organized and effective efforts going on in BR, cajungirl. I imagine BR has received and helped many refugees . . . I wish they would report something about that and how other LA cities are helping.
I guess they are focusing on NO because that is the *worst* situation. I have seen coverage of MS and AL, but not nearly as much as in NO.
Everything still sounds to be a go with the buses - no word of holding it back (this is how I take it)
Thank you!
On this same frequence are people trying to coordinate buses coming into stadium.
Relocating these people to a closed Military Installation is the ONLY way to do it. They need to get on the ball with this.
Guardsman doing most of the talking at the dome is Bulldog5 . . . I'm guessing from Georgia . . . hunker down hairy dawgs . . .
Great idea! Thanks!
iT COULD CONCEIVABLY be in the ref files of FR home page. I just don't know.
Also, many different kinds of websites have such lists. DOGPILE.COM could search for them. Especially some prophetic sites have such lists.
Do we know for certain if the jails were emptied? I know there was some confusion about this yesterday.
Apparently she doesn't realize then, that SHE is part of the problem.
Clearing frequency for coms until "we get this fire put out" . . .
I know this is 20/20 hindsight, but wouldn;t you think with 20,ooo+ poeple on site such a vehicle would already be there, or at least the route be established?
LOL!
That's the smartest idea yet...we've all been wondering why not go to a defunct base. Hooah Huckabee!

7:00 A.M. - "For the next two or three months, in this area, there will not be any commerce, at all. No electricity, no restaurants. This is the real deal. It's not living conditions." -- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
these people are putting their lives at risk to help the people of N.O. and they are being attacked by thugs of N.O.
Do you know if they are going to do security checks before they put them on a bus to Houston? Who is to say they don't hijack the bus driver??
I just went to the Threat Matrix and left a message.
I don't know who they belong to but they are working now."
Get the job done, ask for permission later !
