My thoughts are similar....There has been so much moaning about people not evacuating before the storm, but after this why would any shop owner or owner of any valuable property feel it would be safe if left in the hands of a democrat run city or state when a mandatory evac order is given.
This will only make those type of people more willing to stay behind and protect "what is theirs" and who could blame them in a dem state.
Look at all the HELP! Makes me tear up. We will help those states get through this...gas prices be d******.
Thanks for the update!
I think someone should save these video's and make congress watch them... it's time to stop the FDR entitlements and get people working and standing on their own two feet.
I tell ya, I'd hate to be unemployed and lookin for work anywhere near Louisiana or MS. The competition just got intense. Many of the people that evacuated before Katrina hit won't be going back and are moving to your town to find work and live.
Yet only ?50K? made it to the Superdome.
Are we seeing 150K people still roaming the city?
Or did the potential death toll just get way more awful.?.?
I have to question his figures.
Thanks -- that is how I was reading it too but wasn't sure.
I saw that; very disheartening.
And the press laps this up.
The two parishes south of New Orleans seem to be submerged. He hasn't gotten any hard data on the southernmost parish by the Mississippi border, which he deems ominous.
Communications by land phone and cell phone are out because most to almost all of the 504 Area Code system is down. He says it is like being nuked.
We have the technology to make LP drain much faster.
You never will.
Might make the military look good to the MSM.
As I am typing this I hear lots of aircraft going overhead.
Big planes C130 leaving Dyess and going southeast.
You know all the jobs the mexican's are dying to get here for? A few of these people need to start vying for those jobs.
SandRat is posting a LOT of great militaty threads tonight!
Mississippi said $500,000 a day for theirs.
I don't have TV. Are you telling me that NONE of the military's hard work is being shown? All those ships, aircraft, people power, etc.?
Thanks! I cannot imagine living below the level of the Mississippi with an earthern levee between me and it!
How is it that people could be at the astrodome, if they weren't bussed there from the superdome? Can you clarify? And how could they turn anybody away?
Well... that could be next; Al Queda would love to take advantage of this opening.
