Back to the good old days of odd/even and minimum purchases. The minimum was $5.00 back in 1973...it'll be $50.00 this time around. Yipeeee!

That's my question, I was just told it was on the radio that gas in the Myrtle Beach, SC area was over $6.00 a gallon. Does anyone out there know if this is true? What kind of criminal charges could these people face?

Exactly. It's one thing if the market price is $5 or $6 per gallon, but anyone who takes advantage of a situation like this ought to be run out of business.

I always keep extra gas on hand. There's about 45 gallons in my F150, another 17 in my ranger and whatever is in the tank of my wifes Taurus. Also another 25 gallons in cans from about a month back.
I never panic because I'm always prepared.

The Gov is right on top of the situation. That's good, takes some of the load off the Pres.

$3.09 in Louisville, KY. Higher prices will move north from Atlanta, where local radio in Louisville reports gas seen at $5.39. I gassed up today. I expect $4+ by the weekend in Louisville.
To: stopem

Whoa! I'm going to buy a 10,000 tank truck full of gas. I'll be down in a couple days! My price, only $3.50 a gallon.
Someone should take pictures of the prices on these stations and go after these guys legally. Sounds like they are looting peoples' wallets.

I paid $3.09 today in Boise. The station I normally fill up at was charging $2.73, but the lines were long.

My vehicle is gassed up, too. If necessary I could drive to safety. Of course, it would be somewhere between Alaska and the Yukon Territory where I would run out for good.

Michael savage is now calling for price controls on gasoline. I guess he's off his meds today.

All of this started with a couple of news reports on WSB am this morning that there "may" be some shortages for Atlanta because two pipelines that supplied gasoline to the area were inoperable. The station itself is now blaming the "internet" and the rumor mill.

3.00 p/g in Columbia, SC. Up from about 2.45-2.62 this morning. Long lines and some stations are running low. Anyone know anything about a shortage here, or is it just a rumor?
