Gas prices in Atlanta area: $4 to $6 per gallon in last hour. Not kidding.

I just paid $4.09 per gallon to fill up with regular. An hour ago the same station was at $3.09. I have verification from WSB Radio 750 Atlanta that local stations are charging from $4 to $6 per gallon, while Atlanta motorists are queued up for blocks to get some. Rumors are that the gas supply in Atlanta will run out before the weekend.

Nah, not a liberal. A liberal never seriously talks about inconviencing themselves.
A liberal would've said, "Everyone else should sell their cars and get a bike, and the price I pay for gas will go down."

Here in Michigan there are several complaints to the state attorney general about price gouging. The price of gas has gone up almost a dollar per gallon since Monday and we fully expect it to top $4.00, even $5.00 per gallon this weekend.

Remember who these profiteering pricks are and don't give them a dime when this is all over. In fact, make up a couple of picket signs -- complete with pictures of their price boards -- and stand in front of the stations in a couple of weeks.
What goes around, comes around.

Actually, if many people did that prices would fall-as demand would fall.

Irrational price spikes are part of a supply shock. Irrational price spikes are also the free market's way of stopping panic buying in its tracks.
Everyone considders it gouging and gets all p*ssed off, without reflecting on their actual participation in the event as a contributing factor.

Gov. Perdue declared a State of Emergency regarding gas prices, freezing them at their current prices.

Things are normal here in San Antonio, no lines, prices up a bit but no panicking.
Either we're made of stronger stuff or we're just too dumb to know what's going on...

Car thieves are now looking at the gas gauge before breaking into cars. If the tank isn't at least half full........move on.

It's the one thing that will quickly balance out supply and demand and minimize the real shortage.
Hoping that no Gov't guys screw it up with some crazy price cap or rationing scheme. Let the markets do their thing and we'll be back to normal quickly -- interfere and anything can happen.

$2.79 in Olive Branch MS. Up 50 cents since this morning when I filled up my pickup. Filled up the wife's car this afternoon and Kroger was flooded with buyers.
