Hostage Situation in New Orleans
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a heads up, armed looters have taken over one of the medical centers in New Orleans where the injured people were being sent. They are holding the entire staff of the hospital hostage and firing at the national guard. An FBI SWAT team has just been flown in (from Baton Rouge I believe) and they are just now getting situated. I'm not sure of any online scanners that are up monitoring the state trs. That is where alot of traffic is going on at.
LSP Troop B is requesting immediate backup. Troopers, riot squad, and national guard. He said the crowd is triple the size it was earlier and they are about to be overrun.
The location is 610 and eleshafield(spelling?).
Should I make another thread that has events going on down there? Lots of stuff has gone on and half of it never makes it on the news or anything.
And just what do you mean by that???
:^)
My solution:
Turn off the cameras.
Take care of business.
The reason why I brought it up is that it looks like we can't control our own affairs.
I was wrong, I expected New Orleans to turn into a Mad Max Road Warrior style wasteland in two to three days.
It only took one day.
your post applies to all cities

This "food & water" supporter definitely does not condone actions of this nature, that's for sure... It's inexcusable - firing on the National Guard that's there to HELP them???
AND - These folks are the type of people that STILL have guns after the liberals pass all their anti-gun laws - they should keep this in mind next time they try to disarm the LAW ABIDING citizens and leave our medical staffs and such defenseless...
I'm a little confused on the motivation for this. According to news reports, this hospital has already evacuated all patients, as its emergency generator is underwater. Presumably, most or all useable food and drugs have either already been consumed or destroyed, or were sent out with the patients or to still-functioning hospitals and shelters. I would think that most of the staff would have left too, either to accompany their patients and care for them at the overstretched hospitals where they were sent, or to engage in other medical/rescue work. Who are these thugs holding hostage, and what do they want that is there and that they haven't already grabbed?
Welcome to Mogadishu on the Mississippi
stop telling the truth?
I'm only posting what they said. Their intentions and attitudes are plain for all to see- that is why most people with common sense have come out against them.
But maybe we should all "just get along" and allow bad policy to be extolled.
I guess they can have their opinions and they can't be questioned. Strange how they never turn that around, though.
Somehow I think we need more precise weaponry than a Spectre gunship. The hospital staff is in there too.
But Shep Smith said that NO had dodged a major bullet.
"Sleeper cell?"
Probably just dope-fiends after a fix. Hopefully the worthless scum won't find any research samples of plague while they're there.
The only negotiation should be where they want the first shot...head or heart?
Yeah, exactly ... last night I'm sure I saw a band of people rushing what was left of the Starbucks and a Little Debbie's distributor...
Wake up.
There's drugs in there, for shizzle.
If they get the stream up tonight, that will be some interesting listening...
The NOPD system died...this is all happening on the La. Statewide System that the LSP, Nat Guard, and Red Cross is on.
The City of NO system is not compatible with the State System anyway....and was built AFTER 9/11
My guess is these armed looters are the dealers, not the addicts. Probably lost all their stashes in the flood, and their suppliers cannot get new product into town. How are they gonna buy Pampers for all their kids if they can't sell drugs anymore?
Stand back, all you liberals, and view the fruits of your labors.
