Idiot Cafferty on CNN already got a dig into the Pres last night.
The RATS will find a way to crab at the Pres. Probably bring out the greens to wring their hands over the fuel blends or temporary suspension of Clean Air Act.

I missed that, sorry.
I'm so impressed with this Governor Perry. Is he a Republican? He seems too nice to be a Democrat :-)

Less than that got me my first timeout in lotsa years here !
Oh well, at least I'm not sleepin' on an overpass tonight.
GW was great during 9/11, but he seemed more 'in charge' and confident in that address than ever, imho.

this speech was awful. No heart If you have a recording available, listen again. It wasn't a speech per se, but a progress report. This is not a time for speeches. Speeches will no doubt come later.

I love that man. :)
His speech sounded rushed and as if he hadn't had much time to prepare. I'm sure it's been a busy day for him, but he hit all the high points for now.
Wisconsin's Governor is mobilizing our WI National Guard troops to go down to help. First out of the gate? :)

I think we should have a separate thread of what is needed in time of natural disaster.
We only have the gun. LOL

this was exactly the right tone.
all business.
we've yet to see the real horror of this.
Wait until we see what the death toll really pans out to before starting to get mushy about this. We need to get the S&R ops done, and levees repaired before we take the time to comfort people. Rescue workers aren't even able to take the time to care of dead bodies they run across now. Neither does the president.

The question - where are the other 522,000 people from N.O.?
To: Peach
I was referring more to UN assistance. But I did hear Germany offered sympathy and stated they hadn't been asked for any assistance.

Idiot Cafferty on CNN already got a dig into the Pres last night I was channel surfing earlier and he was at it again today, using emails from all 3 viewers about how inept the President is. Cafferty is scum.

I hope EVERYBODY on this forum is watching what is going on in those states and REVISING their lists of things to have in case of a diaster.Very Bump!
Our household bugout kit is assembled with the idea we're going to have to come back to a concrete slab and defend it for two weeks.
