It is with heavy heart I write this...
I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.
He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.
Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.
They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.
The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.
The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

Orlando Salinas in Gulf Port,Mississippi adding to what I reported here last night...18-wheelers are being stocked with dead bodies, the call is being made for help pulling bodies out of homes along the coast. Entire families are dead from drowning in their homes and under rubble.
Catastrophes will always integrate those poor choices into massive death and destruction, and demonstrate past poor choices to the survivors. If any wit survives in a society, they will amend their ways, and the systems that select their destiny. It will always remain a dangerous world, even though, mercifully, day to day, we are insulated from this harsh reality.
We see this ignorance displayed in many human systems. It is compellingly obvious in the conflict between science and engineering versus raw political will. NASA "command and control" ignores or minimizes engineering facts to "attain" goals in order to aggrandize political hacks. Leads to predictable conclusions.
Societal spending priorities are partially set by arrogant, self-centered (POS) morons like Senator Byrd, apparently based on obtaining his personal name recognition on a bridge, statue, or rock monument, rather than on any lasting or even current value to the electorate. And the disinterested, or overwhelmingly ignorant electorate keeps returning this moronic POS to office.
Without any substantiation, I'll bet that more was spent annually on NO Mardi-Gras celebration than was ever spent on insuring this under sea-level city was assured to be safe from flooding from the sure-to-happen, "50 year" cat 5 event.
Generally it's not ferocious at all, unless you're unlucky enough to wander onto an immigration thread.
This is a stressful topic and we have strong opinions.
I understand the need to control speculation and wild-eyed theories, but reporting what Orlando Salinas is saying is not that.
THEY'LL NEVER REPORT THE REAL NUMBERS OF THE DEAD....THEY DIDN'T WITH ANDREW...1000'S DIED THERE...THEY'LL NOT IN MISS. OR LOUISIANA...THEY'RE ALREADY SIDE STEPPING IT!!!
I think they will report the real numbers. The mayor has freely admitted the NO toll may be in teh thousands.

OMG...I hope so...if people know the real deal...next time they'll leave when a hurricane is coming their way. It's stupid not to report the real numbers...we're adults, we can deal with it!!!

all of the folks calling on God's Name now should understand this type of calamity has been foretold in every Bible ever printed---there will be more disasters in our nation and the world as mankind refuses to stop living their lives as a lie and refusing to ask their Maker for forgivness for allowing drugs, perverted sexual practices and the rest of a sinful life to continue in this previously God Blessed country--we were brought up as a God loved Nation and have allowed the filth and degradation that is America today to happen on our watch--now, we pay the price for the lack of courage to protect the beauty that was given to us by our ancestors who knew that there was a God in Heaven who ruled over the affairs of men--the good will suffer with the bad until the Lord comes and destroys the evil in this world
By holding back this information -- for whatever reason -- they encourage the kind of nanny-state dynamic that gives rise to cultures that produce the irresponsible looters, thugs and rapists we are seeing in NO this horrible days. Such "official" action is misguided, like all "official" actions that treat the public like children, or like helplessly irresponsible people who need to be strictly directed and spoon-fed.
Treat the public like responsible adults, and it will be so.
