Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

*shrug* The 'gators will reduce the death count...

Don't go there, please. Next thing, we'll be hearing that they're feeding any Hispanics to the alligators so that they don't 'panic' people about the illegals in our midst. Lots of nuttiness on that topic earlier in the thread.

Well since you need help with basic reading I'll be more than happy to help a fellow freeper.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

okay this is the easy part. It's fixen to get tricky so hold on.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

Okay, see the word "They" in that sentence (the first one, also known as the subject of the sentence)? To figure out what "They" is referring to we have to look at the previous sentence. Lets see what it could be. I doubt Gulf Port is hanging in trees being pulled down 30 at a time. First Gulf Port can't hang in a tree; also there is only one so it just doesn't make sense. Lets see if we have a better one....could it be "Thousands of bodies" Ding ding ding. We have a winner. “They” is referring to "Thousands of bodies."

DO ABC AND LIVE ETERNALLY; DO ABC AND HAVE MY BLESSINGS IN ABUNDANCE.

DO ZYX AND SUFFER ETERNAL DEATH AND GREAT SUFFERING IN THIS LIFE.

Don't forget the tribulations of Job. He went through a lot before getting his just reward.

I suppose it is all in the scriptures but we have to return to our core beliefs to know which applies, if we can even then.

Are y'all still arguing about this interpretation? Jeez, some folks are worse than I am...

The only realistic, sober assessment of the destruction is that hundreds have died, at least. And the possibility of a four-figure death count is not remote.

Actually the guy that was just yelling for help on FNC was talking about some people...diabetics and heart patients in an apartment complex a few blocks from the dome that can't get out on their own that need help.

Those pesky facts...

"I agree. Everyone should have a pantry in case of even small emergencies. I doubt we'll ever own a gun, but...who knows? Times to come may warrant it."

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

What makes you think that when you need it, you'll even be able to get one in short order, and have the opportunity to master it's use?

I recommend a shotgun for home defense. You can get a nice pump action gun cheap. Try walmart.

Isn't it strange that no pictures of these thousands of dead in the trees and on the beaches from cell phone cameras have surfaced yet?

That's the firrst I've heard of cell phone cameras causing the deaths of thousands in trees and on beaches. You got a legitimate source for this info?????

I truely doubt that they will release the true death count. They'll do what they did down in Florida after Hurricane Charley hit. Initially, you heard eyewitnesses describe hundreds, even thousands of dead, and then the official count went down to 13 ending up around 25 people. I'm betting that the death count will be revised to a couple of hundred.

Would someone PLEASE explain to me why the gubmint would want to hide the number of dead due to a hurricane or other natural disaster? What is the motivation? What possible frickin benefit would the gubmint get out of fudging the numbers like that??? Everyone knows and expects when there is a natural disaster of this magnitude there will be a lot of dead and injured.

Geez, there must be a severe shortage of tinfoil around here.

This is just terrible. I am from Biloxi. Born and raised there for 22 years. I live in Atlanta now and I have intimate experience with these storms. My sister stayed and rode it out in Pascagoula because of animals that she was looking after. We got word yesterday through a family friend that was able to leave the zone to make calls, that she lived. Her car is gone and her house was flooded. That was all of the message. My parents evacuated to Alabama and are trying to get back in as soon as possible. My family is very down at this point. They do not know about the family home and that is really hard. My parents are afraid the house or whats left of it is being ransacked at this time. They are worried about work conditions and if my sister is getting aid. My dad was about to retire from the Ship Yard in Pascagoula and now he thinks he will have to delay that if he even has the opportunity to work. They can't get back in because all of the bridges "numerous" have to be checked for structural damage before they can open the roads. My sister is tough but unfortunately I know she is unarmed. Sorry I just had to vent. I talked to my father this morning and he is really really down.

Considering he (Hewitt) is trying to push the McCainiac at us for the '08 GOP nomination, your taxinomy is probably accurate...

How's Austin shaping up? Have you and Mr. Z bought a huge, beautiful house yet?

"You're strangely defensive here for a mere hearsay story with no corroborating accounts anywhere in the media-mad world. Isn't it strange that no pictures of these thousands of dead in the trees and on the beaches from cell phone cameras have surfaced yet? At least, I find it strange."

The media are more cautious than you think. They like to get death statistics from official sources, and official sources are typically conservative in announcing deaths. They would rather underreport than overreport in the initial phases of a tragedy.

Members of the media are not, to my knowledge, poring through debris and wreckage looking for bodies. Moreover, they are not likely to show pics of dead bodies in a non-war setting, paricularly when communications are down and families are separated. But the media HAVE reported many bodies - without showing them - and have mentioned that the emphasis is still on rescue rather than accounting for the dead. I personally think 3,000 or more deaths is quite likely.

Properly parsed for those who slept through English classes: "Isn't it strange that no pictures of these thousands of dead in the trees and on the beaches from cell phone cameras have surfaced yet?"

Admittedly, it was clumsily phrased. But 'pictures' can only find its object in 'cell phone cameras' when plainly read.

Any government will routinely under report deaths in a disaster by a factor of ten.

I have no idea why.

"I haven't seen pictures of ANY bodies yet. I guess that means nobody died at all?"

Actually this from post 1273 is incredibly dishonest. No one here is denying folks are dead. However 13 hours after the post some people are still waiting for the pictures or reports of the killing fields described in the OP. But why let facts get in the way right?
