Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

So is your senseless hand wringing hysteria.

The report may be wrong, but coming from MFH, it is anything but senseless hysteria.

They were warned. This was everyone's worst nightmare. People would not take heed to the warnings. This is what they have been screaming about for years. This was the reason for the warnings.
To top it off, I can't even go into a chat room at this time.....the Liberals are in there saying the Red States are getting what they deserved. This is terrible. Absolutely shameful. This nation is falling apart before our eyes and it will take us Conservatives to rebuild it.
Be Blessed!

From your linked article.

The death toll in this hard-hit county rose to more than 100, but officials believe that number will rise. "There's so much rubble, we won't know for a while. But I fully expect the number to be in the hundreds," said Jason Green, assistant to the Harrison County coroner.

Thats just one county in Mississippi.

From the AP this morning:

The number of dead was still unclear, a day after Katrina slammed the Gulf Coast with 145-mph winds. But one Mississippi county alone was believed to have lost as many as 80 people — 30 of them from a beachfront apartment house that collapsed under a 25-foot wall of water. And Louisiana said many were feared dead there, too, making Katrina one of the most punishing storms to hit America in decades.

New Orleans's mayor, Ray Nagin, said hundreds, if not thousands, of people may still be stuck on roofs and in attics, and so rescue boats were bypassing the dead.

"We're not even dealing with dead bodies," Mr. Nagin said. "They're just pushing them on the side."

OK, this is NO, which, according to the media hype, dodged the bullet. Extrapolating to MS and AL, both of which got hit almost head-on, it doesn't look good.

I hope MFH is wrong, but only time will tell.

Just to send my condolances from the UK and prayers that the death toll does not rise too much further.

What is your agenda? MFH is a credible poster. He/She did not claim to have seen the things reported, just that he/she had a credible firsthand account given. He/She was totally up front about that. Everyone from the Mayor of N.O. to the Governor of Miss. have insinuated that there are massive numbers of dead. Time will prove you or MFH wrong. Let's let it ride and see who it turns out to be.

I know, for a fact, that the Baton Rouge area hospitals have been asked for any and all body bags that they have on hand. The number I've heard is between 10,000 and 30,000...

Fox Radio just reported, bluntly, "Biloxi is destroyed" with the streets "littered with bodies."

They also reported that 80 percent of Mississippi is without power.

Many, many stories will be emerging only when the juice is restored.

May I add my Amen to your prayer. This just keeps getting worse and it's nearly incomprehensible.

I truely doubt that they will release the true death count. They'll do what they did down in Florida after Hurricane Charley hit. Initially, you heard eyewitnesses describe hundreds, even thousands of dead, and then the official count went down to 13 ending up around 25 people. I'm betting that the death count will be revised to a couple of hundred.

I always want to throw up when they say a hurricane has "weakened". It gives the wrong impression.

I wonder if anyone will sue the MSM.

That's true.

But you can't have people posting what information they come across through their own personal connections prior to the MSM reporting it and then demand proof of its perfection. Time will tell. Many of us here appreciate the heads up before it is otherwise known. Most of the time those heads up are correct. And we don't kill the messenger until we know otherwise. Especially messengers that haven't abused it in the past.

We had reports here early the night before that a levee had failed. That NO was starting to flood. There was virtually nothing on the MSM for hours about it. First CNN started covering it. It wasn't until a nurse at a NO hospital contacted CNN and said that the water was rising an inch every 5 minutes around the building was there much of any reporting on it. Even then they reported little until they could "confirm" it. Meanwhile a major event was taking place...

Beautiful prayer, LucyJo, in which I join you.

I pray it isn't so that these numbers will be so high....but the devastation is looking ever-more dim....God bless all these people.

Point taken and I apologize. Yours was about the 3rd post I saw either questioning or (or flat out contesting) MFH veracity and I think I had enough when I saw yours.

Again I'm sorry. This seems to confirm what I was fearing and I have not heard from every one of my NOLA coworkers yet. ANd I have not yet known MFH to lie about anything.
