The New Orleans police officer shot in the head by a looter Tuesday was expected to survive, officials said.
The officer, who has not been identified, was in surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center after being shot in the forehead, police said.

I think the police should confiscate the footage of these looters and prosecute everyone of them to the fullest extent of the law and when they lie and say it wasn't them, give them the maximum sentence for perjury and after they get out of prison, make them work and pay for everything they stole! Its time for this lawlessness to stop!

I'll be going back home to NO this Fri or Saturday, and I plan to go in heavily armed. Heaven help anyone who poses a threat to my family or myself while I'm there
I have heard that nearly every Red Cross unit in the country is turning out to help. There will be so much help just there for the asking. This is how America is. The American people are always there for their fellow man in times of trouble. There is no need to steal.
