I doubt it - and I am a Wal-Mart fan.

They did. And it turned into a riot. Even some fire fighters and National Guardsmen were reported to be looting the store...

But this can't be. According to the Marxist wing of FR, Wal-Mart is evil, destroys the little mom and pop stores, and all their junk is crap (cue the Made in China wisecracks). Never mind the fact that I bought a 27 inch Sanyo flat-screen there and it works beautifully.

I just saw a WalMart down there up to it's eves in water.

Walmart actually will do something ,like this.
They have a disaster response team.
Walmart also donated money to the Salvation army as soon as they new about the extensive damages.
To: marblehead17
I dread shopping at Walmart, but this is really wonderful of them. I think I'll drop them an email and say so.

What choice do they have? Can't keep them out and they are going to break in anyways and steal the crap out of the store! This makes them look better from a PR standpoint to use against Democraps that seek to destroy Walmart because of their non-union stance!
N.O. is now the Big Easy for looting!

I heard the same report.
They should give away all the clothes and food. I would think they could not retail it now. So WalMart created a great PR move.

My donations to the relief effort will go through Wal-mart tomorrow. I understand you can donate at any of their stores.
They led the charge on this, regardless of ones opinion of their practices.

I believe it.
I like Walmart despite the demonization of them by others that wish they had the same success.

Actually, it's good business and good PR. The Wal-Marts there are closed, donchknow. For a good piece. All that frozen food, dairy, everything. Toast.
