Iran expresses grief at deaths of American people by Hurricane Katrina disaster
Iran-US-Condolence
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Tuesday expressed grief at deaths of people in the United States caused by Hurricane Katrina.
He said that Iranian nation and government sympathize with American people especially the bereaved families of the natural disaster.
He hoped that situation in the flood hit states of America would return to normal soon.
At least 50 people died in Mississippi and flood waters poured into low-lying New Orleans through levees battered by powerful Hurricane Katrina.

Unfortunately the Pic you and I were looking for is removed from its host server. That's the realization I came to recently. Thanks for the effort!

Thanks for that.... on a completely different subject. I was a USAF munitions troop working with AGM-65 Mavericks.. do they share the same airframe as Phoenix missiles? Were they designed by Hughes?

In, think it was 1962, Iran suffered a major earthquake. The U.S. sent massive relief in the form of food, hundreds of tents and dozens of pre-fab buildings, medical supplies, water, etc. From the base in Aviano, Italy, we dispatched hundreds of GIs in C-124s and an entire field hospital, with a field water treatment plant and drinking water supply system. The detachment stayed there until the Shah's local government guys could restore order and life support infrastructure.
Maybe their memory has gotten the better of the great Satan syndrome.

As for me, I just can't wait for the UN to show up and form a committee.
I'm surprised this hasn't been already announced from New York City.
Then they can take over rescue/recovery ops from US authorities. I'm sure that'll be helpful.

They were both designed by Hughes.
However Westinghouse Company was in charge of Maverick instructions for Iranian Cadets and Technicians.
AGM65 is an Air to Ground missile!
AIM54A/C is an Air to Air missile!
I guess you know all this stuff better than I do!

Are the nation's around the world going to send relief money or what?Do you want it? Really?
You want a plane load of rice from the People's Republic of China? You want Kofi Anan touring the devastation in the disaster area? You want the French military using its helicopters to fly out survivors? You want Germany to take out its wallet and write a big fat Euro check?
I wonder if you really do.
To: F14 Pilot
That was a nice gesture from an unexpected source. Whether it's anything more is unclear.
