Airboats, and I saw that post, too. They're good for light usage - can't carry too many people, but they're fast and are no-draft craft.
But will they have to go through Tenn to get to NO? It's gonna be really hard to get there.

Airboats, swamp buggies .. road them in the Everglades several times .. ex had one. They need very little water on which to skim, so they'll help a lot.
