Thanks for telling me so. I turned on Fox and they were repeating O'reilly factor.

I'll watch CNN for awhile.

20 sq miles is the greater NOLA area? Add to that Mobile, and points west.

No, the part I saw was just people taking more than they could carry and running . . . it looked like a scene from Haiti, not America . . . didn't see any law enforcement presence . . .

Goodnight all.

Prayers for all in need.

this is MUCH worse than was reported earlier today.

My word.

This is basically mid cat-4 devastation.....the size of the storm must have made things much worse.

Wow.

Yes, 80% according to Nagin. And according to Jeanne Meserve on CNN earlier the water is rising. The levees have been compromised and breached in certain sections. Water is continuing to flow into New Orleans from Lake Poncatrain.

Re the bodies .. he said they know there are bodies there that have to be dealt with, but the first priority is rescuing those who are still alive.

Are we saying that I-10 across Lake Pontchartrain is missing both lanes? Has the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway survived?
