Local ABC had a guy in the dome saying they have a new hole in the middle of the dome roof. He went outside and saw the Hyatt, curtains blowing out the broken windows.

"My sister told me this morning that her 7 year-old asked why almost all the people in the line were black. Of course, it was something we all noticed, but nobody but a child would say it.

Bush's fault. I'm surprised CNN hasn't initiated an investigative report."

Seriously, folks, this line stopped being funny about 11,000 posts ago. Now it just sounds dumb.

let me restate, many of the folks looked like Carville.

Surely not every white person taking shelter is a meth-head!

Again, most at the superdome are POOR.

It is about the city not doing a damn thing for the poor, not the blacks.

"Time will tell.... Lets see what the rising water does before we declare all clear..."

I agree, the wind is now coming from the north pushing the lake water south. The levee system will now be tested. The people on their roofs needing help is not a good sign, that means there is at least 8-10 feet of water below.

I think once it is over we will be amazed at the damage.

And hopefully they hold and don't get a significant breach.

I'm sure there will be some. But, because the worst didn't occur (we think) they should be able to deal with it in the coming hours. If this thing had hit a bit differently, everyone would be on rooftops and no equipment would move.

Yeah . . . it's a whole state of Carvilles. Have another cup of coffee and engage a few more brain cells before you post again. New Orleans . . . like any major metro in the country is filled with people of all stripes. Europeans, Asians, Africans, Caribbean Islanders, South Americans . . . even some yankees.

You know all this Hurrican stuff is just Karl Rove trying to distract from Cindy Shehan.

Which reminds me, when is Condy going to take her televised "tour" of the damage?

I'm praying all the retirement homes and hospitals were evacuated first thing.

I read they sent the very sick & frail TO the hospitals instead of letting them into the Superdome.

(CTRL + F hospital for the quote from a General).
