Fox needs to know that most likely a majority of their viewers want his butt inside.

I agree...the worst to come will be in the form of flooding in NOLA...winds will start to fall-back within the hour.....Are there any densely populated areas to the NE of NOLA (25-35 miles NE)?
.....That area is taking this storm head on....I would not be surprised to see catastrophic damage in this region...

Tough boogers. He shouldn't have been out there in the first place.

Harrigan just hauled a$$ away from where he was. A piece of roof landed right next to him. He yelled and said, "I'm getting out of here."

Would this mean that there is oil pumping into the water where the oil rig used to be? Just wondering?

My mom remembers seeing galvanizing slice off someone's head in a really bad storm. He apparently just had a close call.

Trust me, NOLA DID dodge a MOAB; the destruction that would have ensued if they were to the east of the eye would have been far greater...that does not mean that NOLA will not see significant damage, just that it could be a whole lot worse To the east of the eye would have produced the worse wind damage. To the west of the eye would have produced the worse flood damage.
To: cyborg
I heard Harrigan hollering in the other room. Did he dodge some more debris?

I want to see Cantore! He's probably got a jet ski in the Beau rivage..not kidding either. He was just on via phone. He relocated to a government retirement home a half-mile inland, and reported that the parking lot there was flooded.
Third landfall appears to be happening at the Louisiana/Mississippi state line.

Last night Fox had some guy with a wind meter standing out in winds that appeared to be at least 40-45 mph, and he was holding up the meter and saying the wind was only 13 mph. He seemed like an idiot.

A LEVEE BREACH OCCURRED ALONG THE INDUSTRIAL CANAL AT TENNESSE STREET. 3 TO 8 FEET OF WATER IS EXPECTED DUE TO THE BREACH...LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO ARABI AND 9TH WARD OF NEW ORLEANS. It appears that this is actually a separate section of the city to the east/southeast of the majority of New Orleans, in a separate levee system, so it shouldn't cause flooding in the central city.
To: AppyPappy
The superdome roof should fall apart faster since it has already been breached. Not good.
