Semi-skilled translation -

Moving almost due north (just a tick west of north)
Eye now ragged besides being open in the southeast quadrant
Flight-level winds once again strongest in the southeast quadrant, 5 knots slower than the last measurement, but the same as the one 2 trips ago.
Minimum pressure up 2 mb to 925 mb

Everyone should be filling their cars.

Nothing like panic buying in hopes of saving a few bucks, to really stabilize things in a crisis.

If it ain't half empty, let it go until later in the week. Don't create an artificial shortage.

"fox...flooding up to ceilings on some homes in NOLA"

That has to be pump/levee failure.

The roof situation could change dramatically when the wind comes from the North in an hour or so.

I'd like to see everyone here keep in mind that others reading may have loved ones in the area and keep speculation to an absolute minimum.

That looks like a bright light inside the dome to me. It is not bright sunshine outside in the middle of a hurricane and only bright sunshine would make a light that bright through a hole. I doubt if there are any holes in the steel like that.

The engineer sounds pretty positive [Major Ed Bush Louisiana National Guard] holes in roof have not gotten worse in the last hour.
