Personally, I want to know when that hot Air Force Lt. with the hurricane hunters will be back on the Weather Channel.

They kept showing her in the promo clips yesterday.

The networks have to fill 24/7 air time without reporters out in the storm. I guess this is the best they can do ;-)

WWL-TV just announced that the levy has breached near St. Bernard Parish. 3-8 feet of water flooding the area. Warning all of serious flooding.

CNN: John Zerella reports waves of water rolling down the street in New Orleans. Water rushing up from manhole covers.

CNN Breaking News: "Massive" piece of the roof has blown away.

Don't know if this is new news, or an exaggeration of the older news.

Thanks for providing the details. I don't actually think we'll see major breaching, but my point was broader...that the situation will just be worse for future storms unless changes are made.

And he's continuing to report from his perch! I'd like to change channels, but I'm afraid I might miss something. This is just fascinating.

disagree .. the reporter on the floor said a 3 ft by 5 ft chink missing and he could see daylight. Yes, the majority of the roof is intact, but it is incorrect to say there is no breach.

Don't know whether it's been reported yet or not, but WDSU-TV just reported that the levee pumps are "down".
