They said TX Hwy patrol was setting up road construction outside of Houston making it worse. Dragged out a map. Looks like ~350mi between NO and Houston.

I watched the press conference this morning announcing the mandatory evac. My first thought was, there are eight people up on that stage, and not one of them has a clue what to do. I'll admit the projections are overwhelming, but you are elected LEADERS! Unfortunately, you don't have the luxury of discussion, debate, contingencies, and indecision.

I drove through Houston two months ago, it was gridlocked then also.
